The foods we ate was not bad... don't expect too much... if u guys going to stay for a moderate budget means this is okay for you.... And service department also need to be improve... Totally this is okay...

I stayed here for 2 nights . The hotel is nearby to Railway Station . 5 minutes walk.
When you come out of the station , you have to take right and then after 50 metres , you need to cross the road. You could see Thirunelveli Lalla Kadai in the corner .
The place is average . The room is small . It can accommodate not more than 2 people . Basic Facilities like TV is provided .
The bathroom does not have hot water . You need to ask the staff to get hot water. There is no Wifi. For Non-AC room , charge is 600 / day and AC room , charge is 1000 / day
I could see cockroaches in the room, bedsheets was not clean..
There are hotels available near by for Breakfast , lunch and Dinner
You should try Hotel Sabarese for Vegetarian which is really good.

-rooms are cheap but less spacious. we stayed at non ac room. price is fixed & shown at display board
-Meenakshi Amman temple, food courts, local markets & railway station are in a walking distance. no need to hire a taxi.
-bus station is far away.
-there are many hotels nearby. u can choose any.
-must change the bed sheet before sleeping.

Best hotel to stay with family. My inlaw used to stay here most of the time, when they come once in an year during tharpanam. Those looking for an clean, calm, decent accommodation can stay here. This is apt only for middle class family. There is no restaurant, however there are many PURE VEGETARIAN restaurants near by. Meenakshi temple is just 10min walkable distance from the hotel. Railway station is an 5 min walk. Located in heart of the city and calms down after 11pm.

We staying in KPS Hotel, Madurai. It is close to bus stand and railway station (less than 1 km.)
There is constrction and renovation going on in this hotel and it affects the services of the hotel to its customers.
Double bed non ac charge is 500 Rs and there is no room service at all.
The lift is small and we need wait for 5-10 min for each time.
They didn't provide blankets and drinking water even we ask them couple of times.
Stay away from this KPS hotel in Madurai.

Would be amazed on your visit on seeing the tariffs,cheaper one from 500 to 1200 .But a worthful with wonderful breeze and comfort stay.Ofcourse hospitality should improve much here***
Walkable access to world famous Madurai Meenakshiamman temple,Railway station and Local bus station.
And my favourite road side non veg food stalls (might have doubt on hygienic but not the taste for sure).
Now every month during my official trip this is my favourite hotel ,eventhough had a capacity to stay in star rated hotels.

I took the room tired as I arrived late in Madurai and it looked sort of ok... but the bed sheets were actually dirty, the toilet bowl stained with you guess what (!) and there are many cockroaches in my room. I am paying 450 rs for the room, which is very expensive for what I have got!
I did not say anything to the manager so far but will leave first hour tomorrow morning.
Go elsewhere is my only advice.

We arrived late at night at this hotel and took a deluxe room with AC. It looked ok initially (although the room was small and the lift also tiny) but after we'd left the room for an hour or so to go and have dinner and then came back, we found at least 10 cockroaches happily wandering about our room! We asked to be moved, which resulted in a very grumpy manager showing us 2 more cockroach infested room after which we insisted on a refund. After a big fuss he gave in and we went to stay in the lovely Madurai Residency next door. Twice as expensive but SOO nice!

I did not have food at the hotel but had coffee and snacks from the coffee shop along with it . They have a large variety of snacks and very good coffee. You can see a pretty large crowd going in and out during the evenings.

Located very centrally near the bus stand and railway station. The rates are very cheap and nominal. Rooms even though seems small, but are well maintained and clean. A well decent hotel for family stay. Value for money.
