room and bathroom both are very clean....but not very spacious. Hotel is about 5 min walk from temple and railway station...and 10 min from bus stand. A double occupancy room will cost 1300+ tax (260) ...and you will also get complimentary bed tea / coffee ..with all necessary amenities.

I stayed here with my partner for 1 night in July. The en suite room came with A/C and a TV and cost 990R (no reservation required). If you are in Madurai to see the Temple then the location is good as it is a five minute walk down the road. The room was nice and came with toothbrush etc but the bed was extremely hard.

Kaveri Mahal Madurai is a budget hotel in Madurai. Its near to the Meenakshi temple. So Kaveri Mahal is a good option for a stopover in Madurai to visit the temple. Its located on a narrow street, so you won’t notice it from the main road while searching for a hotel. I met a local guide near the Hotel Tamil Nadu and he took me to this place. Its relatively new, so neat and clean. Car parking available in the next building and there will be security throughout. Road is narrow (it’s the same with almost all streets in Madurai).
Rooms are small. It has a LCD TV (and mostly Tamil channels). They have AC and Non-Ac option. There is no attached restaurant, but the room service will provide team and snacks. There is a good veg restaurant at walkable distance.

We arrived looking for a room our only request was that we had wifi on being assured that this was the case we decided to take the room. During the lengthy checkin process we dealt with the rudest man I've ever met who barked and shouted at us. We later discovered that the wifi didn't work and couldn't connect at any point during our stay. I requested towels 3 times and was told each time that they would be sent up however we never received them. At checkout the man was equally rude and charged us more than the previously agreed price. What's more as we were leaving the room a staff member asked for tips to clean the room which we were now vacating. All in all a really unpleasant experience.

The hotel is very near to meenakshi temple as well as to railway station.I have travelled lot in my upto life in India and abroad and based on my experience in traveling i can say that it is good hotel to stay with family . This was my first visit to madurai.The main point is the desk guys behavior is very good.The team of lobby which is headed by Mr Senthil Kumar is very very cooperative. There is no restaurant in this hotel. Only complimentary tea/coffee is available. Good budget hotel. They also arranged local travel arrangements for Madurai sightseeing and also visiting upto Rameswaram. Good restaurants are nearby in vicinity of hotel.

Access - Its in a busy road and access is difficult. Limited parking space hence not sure of getting parking. Due to one way nature of Netaji Road, its difficult to approach unless you use Google map etc.. But quite close to temple.
Room - small room but good for 2 people.
Restaurant - No Restaurant. But you can go to many restaurants near by like Sabarish, Ganga or famous Modern Restaurant or Terrace view in Supreme.

We arrived at 7am and we left the day after at 9Am and they charged us 2 nights...people are not very friendly there you can easily find somewhere better to stay even if the location is ok...

Room and bathroom both are very clean and housekeeping and security people are so good. Its near to the Meenakshi temple.So Kaveri Mahal is a good option for a stopover in Madurai to visit the temple. The room was small but nice and came with shampoo, soap etc but the bed was extremely hard. I can recommend anyone who is looking for secured, decent environment and clean room’s am not sure they have big rooms with more space. There are lot of restaurants nearby walking distance. Not sure about parking.

Hotel clean maintained. Good bedding area. But too small just advisable for a single person and bed is also small, not fit for person above 5'5". Staff behaviour is fine. The flush was leaky and wastage of water, management not bothered about it. Normally one night single stay was good for me.

Nothing is good about this hotel, they cheat outsiders if you are non-regional.
The rooms are very very small, congested. No proper ventilation. Just ask you to pay hefty rentals without service.
Management just wants money, cashing on you. Please avoid this hotel.
No proper AC, water, room-service etc. No wifi. just fool you.
