Just a 3-hour drive from Mysore, the picturesque hill-station of Ooty in Tamil Nadu is a popular destination for vacationers. Nestled in the Nilgiri Hills, Ooty is known for its beautiful lake and vast Botanical Garden. The hotel is in a very large area, which comprises of gardens and it is well maintained The location is serene if you want to chill and relax it is one of the best places in Ooty. The hotel is inside the horticulture garden so you will have the opportunity to explore this huge garden. The Garden is huge, it will take 2 hours to explore it completely, there are ducks, pools, Maze, Light show, a bridge, etc. you will love the canteen and the price of food, everything looks like europian in design and there is no external noise in the hotel so you will find the place more relaxing as compared to the other areas of the city

If you are coming to ooty for vacations, this is hands down the best hotel to stay. The rooms were maintained neatly. The bathrooms were very clean and quite modern with both shower and hot water facilities.The adjoining restaurant had food at very reasonable prices. The entire hotel is very picturesque and is great for pictures. But most importantly, the staff were very polite and helpful.

If you are looking for a peaceful outing and yet far from busy ooty town this is one of the best place to stay. A relatively budget friendly stay. We booked for a 3 rooms asking to accomodate 3person each in a standard rooms and surprisingly each room had an extra single bed. Even though the buildings are a 100 year old , the interirors were super clean and toilets were kept hygenic. You could even park your own vehicle infront of the room. The property is humungous and the view of the horticulture garden infront of the property is one of the best. The restaurant of the hotel also has good options and the taste and service is worth mentioning here.

Nice and affordable. Great assistance by staff.. Especially by Mr. Verma, the caretaker. It was fun there. Location was awesome and the cab/auto driver provided for local and nearby location was so helpful. It was an awesome trip.

Visited OOTY between 3rd Dec, 2021 to 6th Dec, 2021. Based on some positive feedback, I booked this hotel from make my trip. After checking in, I was shocked to find out the hotel rooms were totally different from the pictures provided on make my trip app. I raised the concern with the hotel manager, but they just neglected the fact, saying that the mistake was to make my trip end, ultimately I had to adjust, as no option left for us. I even did not get any help from mmt customer care. Rooms were made in the British era, small and clingy. Then comes the horrible service of the hotel. Zero/minimal room service provided. One can not even order tea/coffee after 7:30 pm. Worst quality food, only some local south Indian dishes served in the breakfast buffet. Hell lot of restrictions. I would not recommend anybody to waste their hard earned money here. Made my journey into a bad experience, which was supposed to be relaxing and soothing. Moral of the story, never ever expect anything of good quality service from Govt.

Had an amazing experience at KSTDC Maurya. Though we were a bit sceptical at first knowing that it was a state tourism hotel but were pleasantly surprised by the warmth of the staff. We weren't happy with our existing room and when they came to know that it's our anniversary trip, they upgraded it to a premium cottage without any extra charge. The garden is huge and the restaurant is fine. the location of the property is also very good. For the budget that it comes in, it merits a try.

Peaceful stay. I stayed from 9th May 2022 to 11th May 2022.
This is Karnataka State Tourism Department Corp. hotel. ( Ooty is in Tamilnadu ) It is situated 2-3 kms away from main ooty. It is part of the Karnataka Garden.
Its on the hill and the Karnataka garden is downwards on that same hill. People need to buy tickets to see Karnataka Garden, however people living at the property has free access to this garden.
The restaurant is awesome, providing delicious food. Breakfast was super tasty on both days.
Above all the staffs were courteous and the service was excellent.
Five star rating to KSTDC.

I booked this hotel for 2 days stay through MakeMyTrip app. It cost me around 2660₹ for a day. Using Google map as navigation it was easy to reach the place at 2pm. The reception area was maintained and looking tidy and clean. The room I got was old bunglow like one with little maintenance, but a big one called premium room with 2 double bed that could accommodate 4 people from a family. The room had kettle, TV, bottle of water in glass flask, 2 glass and 2 chairs. The bathroom had toiletry and 2 clean towels. The bed had good quality mattress and bedsheet that was looking tidy and white. The cons I found was that don't provide heater for this SO CALLED PREMIUM BEDROOM. They charge another 300₹/day for heater. I had my 8 month son with us so had no other option but to take heater. The second con is that the building lack maintenance even though Karnataka government is owning this place. Overall recommended.
