Meadows residency is located in heart of the Ooty with all major attraction and restaurants near by. I was traveling through State transport bus and easily able to reach hotel from bus stand. Check-in process was smooth and we had our rooms ready.
My room had 2 queen size double bed and see single bathroom. After double bed there was not space left in the room. Rooms and beds were clean. Bathroom was clean and had 24HRs hot water.
As we reached hotel at 8pm we thought to try dinner at the hotel. Sitting space in Restaurant is limited but they served really nice food at very reasonable cost. Staff was attentive and Willing to help.
Nights were cold and hotel provided heater (may charge extra) in our room. As hotel in on the main road, I was worried about noise at night but that was not the case. As plastic bottles are banned in Ooty, hotel will provide one themose with water.
We tried breakfast in the same restaurant and they had enough options including dosa/omelet options on request.
You can easily get auto/taxi from hotel to visit near by place. There was a taxi stand close to hotel. Multiple restaurants are walking distance from hotel , so we had enough options for lunch and dinner.
All in all, this is a great place to stay with you are travelling with family and do not have your own vehicle.

This is well located hotel bang in the centre of the town just beyond Charring Cross, and they have ample parking in a vacant plot right beside the hotel. Guests can park their vehicles and just walk around town.
The rooms are clean and well equipped with all the basic amenities, and the staff service levels are quite good so no complaints there. Hot water wasn’t very hot but I would excuse that considering we had shower very early (maybe the central heater wasn’t yet ready)
All the improvement areas I would say are in the restaurant and the buffet breakfast. Firstly their restaurant is so small that only 4-5 tables are placed together in a small closed space, it is not only claustrophobic like a beehive, but also dangerous in these covid times to sit there and eat food at such closely spaced tables with other guests. They don’t follow any kind of social distancing. In fact my wife and I were at a 4-seater table having breakfast and were shockingly asked if another couple can share our table, which we flatly refused to. Please respect the privacy (and safety) of your guests while dining! Or consider converting some other portion of your property into a larger dining area, the current restaurant space is really horrible.
Secondly the buffet breakfast is supposed to start at 7.30am but it wasn’t until 8.30am that dishes began rolling out onto the counter. I specifically booked this place because we had an early check out and didn’t want to waste time searching for breakfast places at the early hour. They let us down on that front.
Thirdly, the room service for the restaurant does not operate between lunch and dinner times. So while there are several evening snacks listed in the room service menu, you cannot order them until 7pm, which is almost dinner time!
All in all, a great place to stay but the restaurant is a total let down. I would only stay here if food wasn’t a priority and I was eating elsewhere in Ooty and using this place only for stay.

I visited Ooty with my family during this July 2021. Surely I recommend this hotel to everybody based on my experience.
Pros:
1. Neat and clean hotel 2. Responsiveness is like anything. You can experience prompt response from manager to all employees there. 3. Hot Drink water on demand at any time. 4. Location - it is located in heart of Ooty (Charing cross). Walkable distance to the main shopping area / restaurants. 5. Transportation.
Cons: 1. Size of the room is not that big but still it is adjustable because this hotel is located at the centre and also they charge only reasonable price.
So I would give 5 stars and I recommend this hotel to all.
Tips: if you are going with your family, and if you have more than 1 kid, then book king size bed or book for additional bed while booking itself.

Small hotel with good hospitality and customer service. However the price they charge is very high, so you don’t get optimal value for money. Advise the hotel management to reduce their prices so that customers get better value for money.

An old hotel, all the furnishings and bath fittings are outdated. Washroom is a major issue, flush is complicated, and the Family suite(Meadows mist) has washbasin outside the washroom. The hotel doesn't have a lift. Their restaurant is very small with around 5 tables and doesn't operate during lunch hours. Complimentary breakfast was OK with limited options. Room heater they provided initially was not working properly and we got it changed. Giving 3 stars only for their comfortable bed and complimentary cookies which were good.

The hotel is in a great location in the center of town. The service is warm and friendly, and the room was phenomenal. It had all the facilities, including 24/7 hot water and a bathtub. The breakfast each morning was delicious, with idlis, sambar, paratha, omelets, coffee, tea, etc. Would gladly return here if back in Ooty! Thanks for everything.

The room was clean and tidy.. the residence staffs are warm and welcoming.. we stayed at pearl room and its was most accommodative and best for normal. The weather was cold so warmer might be provided as an additional value in the point of customer orientation.

The hotel is very clean throughout, and our stay was very pleasant and comfortable. The rooms are spacious and had everything that we needed. The staff is very courteous and the location is convenient for getting around for many activities. Would highly recommend a stay at this hotel.

My stay at Meadows Residency : my wife and I had opportunity to stay here for two while we were visiting Ooty. I had five star experience here! The room was very comfortable with hot and cold water for 24 hours. Hotel served very fresh, hot and supremely tasty breakfast. The food choice is plenty for meat lovers and vegetarian guests. Taste was phenomenal. And the best for the last is their entire staff is very professional and courteous. I would recommend to stay here when visiting Ooty! I know I will when I visit here again.
