Rowan tree by Poppy's is one of the best hotels services wise and also very near from the main centre. I have stayed here for 2 nights with my mother with a friend. The hotel manager was really curteous with a very good behaviour towards the tourists. I really loved the food of this hotel which made me to meet personally the chef and compliment him for the food. Hotel staff was also good. There were few things which needed attention from the maintenance perspective and the hotel Manager took the feedback and also promised me to work on it. I really like hospitality they provided till the time we left Ooty. Even after checking out the hotel, the hotel manager helped us arrange a cab and have trip for the rest of the day and assured us to come back if we finish early our day out. That was really a nice gesture towards your guest. I would definitely visit again this hotel whenever I am visiting Ooty. Thanks for making our Stay very warm and happy.

xcellent hotel for a stay. I would appreciate the staff members who are in the reception and the service was nice, They were friendly and caring too. New to OOTY, some ideas were shared with m e which really not even aware of that. Food was one of the best choices I had. Breakfast was not on the buffet, they served on the table as i requested for dosa, sambhar,cut fruits were placed at the time of seating. Dinesh, shoba,Arun, and the kitchen chef are good team members. we stayed in two rooms and the size of the room was quite big. End of the day Ooty trip was enjoyed with good hospitality.

I visited this place last week. We stayed there for couple of weeks. Staff is very courteous as well as rooms are clean. Some points to note if you re planning to stay here: 1) Breakfast is complementary. However it includes only south indian dishes. 1) The room we stayed did not have any view and infact surrounded by lot of houses so could not even open the curtains. So you might need to enquire beforehand if they have rooms with view available 2) Location - This place is located a bit far from the main road and the roads are dimly lit. So we decided not to stay outside till late evening 3) Parking also a problem here.

No service at all. Rooms were not at all clean. Toilet cleanliness not up to the mark. Very very limited menu for breakfast, even they are not offering boiled egg or omelettes for kids . Giving couple of incidents to depict the height of service. We have handed over the room key at reception around 10 am & requested to clean the room. We came back at 4:15 pm, the lady at reception confirmed that our room is now clean. Once we entered into room understood that no one came to our room to clean it. I have highlighted the same to the operation manager & he said all staffs are new interns, so they have missed it. Another incident ordered for food at 9 pm. Till 10 pm over phone they are saying it will come in next 5 mins. After 10:10 pm, I gone to the dinning area, they told same thing to me that wait for 5 mins. When I Said that for last 45 mins, I am getting same reply then they have called someone from inside the kitchen told that the order was not considered earlier & not started preparing it yet. The operation manager personally said sorry for the entire thing at the time of check out. Over all - below average hotel with pathetic service. Can't recommend to any one.

It was nice to stay in this hotel. Rooms were clean and hotel area lobby was also clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. There is a play area where you can enjoy the indoor games. almost it is at every floor. One thing which I found a bit drawback was the location. This hotel is located inside of residential area and almost 1km inside, so you have to walk to the slop or take an auto to get there. because that road is narrow. So, if you are with senior citizens who are having problems of long walks then you must take an auto to the hotel. But rest of the experience was fine. There is restaurant at the basement, but it is dedicated to the hotel only so if you order some food, they will make at that time only. Even the charges of breakfast were also high because they will make it only if you order breakfast. Rooms are really nice, neat and clean and 24hr hot water which I really appreciate. As I insisted for hot milk the staff arranged it also. So, my overall experience was fine and because of the location it is quite too. I would recommend this hotel to all.

This hotel is part of a chain of Mango Inn group. This property is right behind race track and if you have binoculars, you can view race from terrace or your room window. This place is in a narrow lane (Mount Pleasant Road) and once reached the 1 KM stretch from main road, the hotel is a big relief with all two star amenities, bed & breakfast system. The season and off season rates vary. The service is the same: warm, courteous and caring. WiFi is very good in rooms, breakfast has sufficient choices on buffet and special requests, TV reception is good. Comfy bedding. Only people with more than 5' height will have to sleep diagonal on double bed. Extra bed at cost is provided with 6' length. No problems. Manager Mr. Girish and staff like Mr. Divin and Mr. Aditya are available in person and on call to take care of guests and to keep up the name & reputation of Mango Inn Chain.

I visited mango hill county at Ooty with family.to say that we had a horrible time at the hotel is an understatement. Rooms are not as what you see in the pictures.very disappointed with the look of the room. Lot of foul smell and not even cleaned once during our 2 day stay there. Reason given to us was that the house keeping staff are off on Sundays.. ridiculous to hear this from the management. More over there were mosquitoes in the room and we had to ask for repellent during night.
Coming to food, less said the better.quality of the breakfast was pathetic and there was no variety. For 2 days we were served almost the same items. The dining hall is very dingy with lots of flies around.
Overall, this trip has left me with a bitter taste and i am writing this review so that folks don't suffer by opting for this hotel. The tariffs are not cheap and are on par with many decent other options that you will get in Ooty.

Based in user reviews, selected this hotel for overnight stay for double occupancy for Rs.1789 including B&B and taxes per night in Dec (off season rate). Best part is an free-upgrade to large room by hotel manager (Mr Girish, familiar only on phone for booking confirmation) and the terrific interior of the hotel. Very courteous staff. Restaurant in hotel has limited, but quite a good assortment of items. Outside food through Swiggy, Zomato etc permitted. Good TV, free WiFi with good band width and clean room, with coffee/tea maker, clean washroom (Room 103 where we stayed had inner lock problem in washroom). Flip side is locating the hotel through narrow lanes extending after Chairing Cross or ATC, through Mount Pleasant Road. Hotel has ample space for parking two and four wheelers within premises and a watchman.

The staffs are very polite and helpful, right from Security staff , to cleaning staff and front desk ! Food is average though but they recommend you the shops and even provide taxi services! The location is close to upper bazaar and charring cross, you will find more places to shop around and collect souvenirs! Would recommend this hotel!
