We stayed here for one night and enjoyed the rooftop for lunch! Very nice quality for the price you pay and a warm welcome from everyone As you can see on the picture, the view on the Taj from the rooftop is just incredible! I would definitely recommend you staying here if looking for a hostel
My friends and I enjoyed our stay at Hotel Saniya Palace. Although our rooms were quite basic (which is understandable considering we paid about £20 / ~ 2000 Rupees for 3 of us each night), they were adequate. The view from the roof is worth staying here however, and is even better in person. It was very pleasant just to sit on the roof relaxing, having some food and looking at the Taj in the distance. It's also about 10 minutes walk away which is handy. The food and drink served here were also very nice, however if you're not used to the Indian water I would steer clear of the water brand 'Clarity' which the hotel sells and buy a more reputable brand such as Kinley or Bisleri which are available just down the street. The staff are very helpful and booked us taxis to the train station and to Fatehpur Sikri, which was very handy as we did not have mobile data in Agra. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay at Saniya palace and would stay there again if we returned to Agra.…
Originally booked two nights but accidentally double booked our stay at the next state so we had to cancel one night with this hotel, but they were very accommodating and let us cancel our second night for free. It was very cold but they gave us a heater for our room and extra blankets. The staff are all very friendly and helpful! We didn't get a chance to eat here as it was too cold for me to eat outside but we did go to a great restaurant around the corner called Joneys Place which was very foreigner friendly and the food was fantastic, we ate there for every meal! Probably best to stay here in the warmer months because there is an amazing view of the Taj Mahal from the rooftop. In the colder months it's very foggy and hazy and you can't see it as well. Overall happy with our stay and the staff, and we felt safe here!…
So close and easy to get to the Taj Mahal. The staff were amazing and super helpful. We booked a taxi for the day to see the sights and another to the train station. It was no hassle as they took care of everything. Also the chai and food is delicious!!!
During my 2-day stay at Saniya Palace I was very happy with the room and services provided. The location is of course excellent, with a rooftop restaurant with some of the best views on Taj Mahal and only a 5 minute walk to the ticket office. The staff are helpful and accommodating, with eg. transportation. If I ever were to come back to Agra this hotel would be my first choice.
Stayed for 3 nights. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Rooftop lounge with spectacular view of Taj Mahal. Room and en suite was basic but clean and couldn't expect much more for the price. Air conditioning worked well. Food in rooftop restaurant is decent but the view is the star of the show. You'll find fancier and more expensive places further out but if you want to stay right next to Taj then this is the right place.
Very nice stay. Especially, great value for money. The rooftop terace has a beautiful view on the Taj Mahal and all employees very very friendly. Our room was nice and cozy (we had the one without AC). With AC is also available, even though double the price. Can only recommend.
The Samoya has a Great roof top terrace with an amazing view of the Taj Mahal - come for the beautiful sunset if you can! Bobby was a great host, will be back again! Had such a relaxing evening here :)
Best view of Taj Mahal you can have from here . A very small budget hotel and roof top restaurant, you can enjoy a coffee with a beautiful view of the Taj Mahal. Suitable weather is winter to enjoy this place with your friends. They don't have an elevator for the rooftop. So only stairs but you can get the best pictures from this place.
Came here with a friend, had an amazing tasty food. Has a great view of the Taj Mahal, totally recommended. We had a couple different menu choices and some kingfisher. The best to accommodate the great view
