I would like to say this hotel is perfect for the basic travellers however, the rooms aren't very hygienic making the stay quite uncomfortable! The men who run the hotel aren't overly accommodating and I didn't appreciate the looks up and down when entering and leaving the hotel on a daily basis!

The hotel was as promised, fairly basic. It provided a basic enough stay for a night but no more. The bathroom was very unclean, as were the sheets that I found a few bugs on. The staff were pretty full on, lingering around and not very helpful at all, the rooftop resteraunt is a big fat no. The kitchen was...

The quality of the rooms were exceptionally poor. The Bedding was sparse with no top sheet and a scratchy unwashed blanket and nowhere near warm enough for the climate in late November. On the bright side the meal served at lunch was delicious and the hotel is situated well by being only about 1km from the east gate of Taj...

I stayed at the Sheela Inn for two nights which was organised by intrepid tours (New Delhi Extension tour). I found the overall experience at the hotel to be very poor. The only advantage that I could identify staying at this hotel is the short distance from the Taj Mahal (~500m). The long list of disadvatages include: *Poor service -...

We arrived here on Christmas day after finding the hotel we were booked with didn't have our booking. We had to wait for our rooms to be cleaned which is fair enough. We waited in the reception and there was a small dog who was tied up but constantly tried to hump my and anyones legs: rather horrid. Walking up...

It was a perfectly acceptable hotel for 500 rupees a night in a good location, just off the Taj's East Gate. I was the only person staying there which was a bit awkward as I felt like the staff were a bit intense at times. I would certainly recommend you don't eat in the rooftop restaurant there though - the...

Rooms aren't great, but for one night (all you really need in Agra), it's a great backpacker option. Nice gardens and ok breakfast/ internet. The location is pretty awesome as it's right next to East gate and a short walk to South gate for the Taj Mahal.

In agra it is hard to find a cheap and good hotel - we had a look to about 10 different hotels, but almost all of them were bad. Compared with the sister hotel (sheela, without "inn"), the location is a bit less good, but the rooms are much better in sheela inn - they are dry, we got enough...

Stayed here 3 nights, and found it a decent budget hotel. Good points, friendly staff and small orange dog, the location, breakfasts (had one at 6am for an early train), decent sized room. Not so good points, all that marble means noise does echo around the corridor, WiFi can be patchy as can the hot water (had to have a...
