I happen to stay with Courtyard by Marriott Agra recently for 3 day for a wedding function. I was really disappointed with the kind of service and room given to me. I check-in on 14 Feb, in Room no 407. The room was stinking of cigarette smell. Even after repeated reminders to room service the problem was not resolved. On the 15th Feb we had a wedding faras late at 3 am, there was no duty manage present in the hotel. Whole hotel was left on the mercy of trainee staffs which was totally confused and dint know what to do for a simple order of coffee for few friends of mine. God forbid if they is any emergency like fire how they will manage. I fail to understand how a big Brand like Marriott can leave 150 to 200 guests on mercy of trainee staffs who are due and inefficient to take proper decisions. Strongly recommend not to stay in this hotel.…
I like to stay at courtyard across multiple cities. The only silver lining was quick check out and food quality. Agra property, disappointed a little: 1. Checkin took little too long 2. Shower - water comes from everywhere but from the right places. Just can’t use it. 3. Drainage choked - you can’t take shower for long as pool of water bothers you. 4. During breakfast, the staff are indifferent, despite requesting 2-3 times for few things and staff acknowledged the request, nothing came. It was pure ignorance to customer and by more than 1 staff. Pretty poor. Guess there is lack of basic checks in rooms, staff not trained well.
We had originally booked 3 nights but moved to another hotel after one night. The property has much deteriorated and maintenance is poor, carpets dirty furniture looking old. B/f buffet tasted average. The check in time is 3 pm. We arrived at 3 the room was not ready, had to wait another 45 minutes to get the room. Gurpal at front desk was very helpful, but the hotel needs a general sprucing up. We were very disappointed.

Very good ambiance. Near to tajmahal. Very good food. Very nice and polite staff. Room was spacious and upto mark. I would like to thank the whole team of courtyard by Marriott. There were something’s which can be improved like room was not prepared for two person . Like only one dental kit. No disposable sleepers. No shower cap. So something little less then five start. All the best for future .
