This Homestay is managed by an Indian family and those who like to stay with a family and share the culture and taste freshly made home cooked vegetarian food would like it here very much.A traditional Indian house built in 1936, with complete teakwood work and antique hand carving workmanship on the doors, windows, decorations and furniture. Lots of open space for natural sunlight and air, and a beautiful small garden. Beautiful seat in garden in the front.

'Homestay' in Varanasi run by Harish ji, his son and wife is a wonderful place! As hosts, they are most friendly and helpful. They arrange for transport in and around Varanasi by auto rikshaw and car for modest amounts of money. The location of the homestay is on a quiet street but not far away from the bustling and colourful old city, the temples and the ghats of the holy Ganges. The breakfast served is absolutely delicious and there is a facility to preorder lunches and dinner. For the discerning traveller who wants to eat healthy, clean food this is most convenient.

We stayed 3 nights at Homestay Varanasi. We really liked the kindness and discretion of our guests. The room was spotless and very large.
We enjoyed delicious Indian cuisine dinners and breakfasts also decorated with local cuisine.
The location is quiet, 30 minutes walk from the Ganges, its ghats and its hectic life.
We appreciated the great skill of our house guide to discover the ghats and alleys district.
We also used the taxi service from the house to come from Khajuraho and depart to Bodhgaya.
We highly recommend.

Had the pleasure of staying here for two nights in November 2023. Harish and Malika are fantastic hosts and you are greeted by a warm welcome. Everyone at this Homestay will do anything they can to make your stay a memorable and comfortable one. Harish will happily arrange tours and guides to show you the sights of Varanasi whilst his wife will cook you some of the best food you will ever eat for breakfast and dinner. The room is very clean and comfortable and the location is ideally situated in a quiet, safe area just far enough away from the noise and chaos of the city centre. Thank you all for making our stay a memorable one.

Stayed three nights with my teenage son and Harish and Malika could not have been better hosts. Our room was spacious and spotless, they organised transport and tours and Malika's home cooking is sensational.
We loved talking with this delightful couple and meeting fellow travellers in the dining room. The beautiful garden is also a peaceful space to relax.
Extremely well located in a quiet lane, walking distance to the alleyways and ghats of old Varanasi.

Since it was just my cousin and me—two female travelers—our top priority was finding a safe and comfortable place to stay. This homestay turned out to be the perfect choice. It is not only safe and impeccably clean but also offers delicious, wholesome home-cooked meals prepared by Malika Ji.

Harish Ji is the ideal host—reliable, welcoming, and always ready to assist. We had no trouble arranging transportation, as he took care of everything for us. A special thanks to their son, Girish, who was incredibly warm, kind, and helpful throughout our stay.
Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and we truly appreciated the hospitality!

Situated in a quiet lane, away from the chaos and the din and bustle of the city, Harish's home (home stay) is an island of peace, a perfect haven for a holiday. Built in the early 20th century, the house looks regal and tastefully done up with antique furniture. The rooms(air conditioned) and specially the wash rooms are absolutely clean. The Homestay comes with complimentary breakfast, free wi-fi and all support services for sight seeing for a price.
True to the saying Atithi Devo Bhava( Guests are equal to God), they serve the guests with a smile. Harish, his family and his staff are ever so ready to walk the extra mile to make sure that your stay is absolutely comfortable and Oh My God what an amazing vegetarian food they serve!!Harish's wife Mallika is an awesome cook and I would highly recommend to everyone to have a meal or two curated by her which is delectable! We never missed an opportunity to eat her food:)
As for sight seeing, be it historical or religious trips, one can completely count on Harish's support to organise anything. Want a boat ride on the Ganges? Witness Ganga Aarti? Visit the temples? Do a walking tour or a cycle rickshaw ride of the town? just leave it to Harish and he will make them happen. We had a fantastic and extremely fulfilling three days of stay at Varanasi at Harish's Home ending with a totally unexpected trip to Ayodhya
( suggested and organised by Harish). It's truly a home away from home.

We stayed at this Homestay from Nov1/22 to Nov6/22
We were vwry happy with thefood , clealiness and general hospitality of Mr Harish ji and his wife. The food was prepared by Mrs Harish and it was just like home. We occupied the two groundfloor rooms which were spacious and comfortable.
Three of the four in our group were between the age of 73 & 80. Though the dining room was on the first floor they arranged to serve the food in the room for one of us who had difficulty in going to the dining room.
When our return flight was scheduled to early morning Harishji arranged for a transport at 4.30 AM.
I reccomend this plaqce to the " Value for money"traveller

Harish is an excellent host! Him and his family took care of all of the arrangements for me. I arrived late to Varanasi and they were able to arrange all of my travel and tour accommodations.

The room was exceptionally nice and the homestay is located on a quiet road away from the hustle and bustle, but close enough to the Ganges to walk if you wish.

Harish and his family cooked excellent Indian meals - the best I have had in India, and I would particularly recommend the homemade guava jam in the morning.

I would stay there again on my next trip!

I'm a solo, woman traveler and stayed at the Homestay for 4 nights. The place is located in a safe neighborhood away from the noise of the city and only 20min walk from Old Heritage. The room was spacious and clean. I was there during cold days of winter and the rooms don't have a heating system. However the owner provides a small heater for additional fee. The breakfast were simple, western style toast with homemade jam and fruit - same every day. You can also request the dinner for additional fee. The lady of the house Mallika prepares simple meals but very tasty. I recommend staying at the Homestay. The owners also run a travel business that's helpful if you need a guide for your stay in Varanasi.

This Homestay was recommended by word of mouth and was introduced to Mr Harish. I had booked 3 rooms on 30-31st January as part of the Maha Kumbh circuit. Unfortunately things did not go as planned on 28th at Prayaraj and I made an frantic call to Mr Harish requesting him accommodation of 3 rooms at short notice. His calm voice and stead fast support that I will help u as much as I can help calm nerves and he was kind enough to give us 3 rooms on 28th night. We reached Varanasi at 1.30 am from Prayaraj and his son Mr. Girish was there to welcome us and made sure we were comfortable in our rooms. We had an excellent home cooked breakfast which was easy on the stomach the next morning and then he gave us an guide Mr Rampal who took us around Varanasi the next 2 and half days. They ensured that we got darshan of all important temples and the city tour was customized as to what we wanted to do and curated accordingly. Inspite of the Humungous crowds everywhere with the city teeming with devotees we were made comfortable. The rooms were adequate with every room having a theme and was spic and span. The breakfast and dinner was homely, tasty and something to look forward to . Thanks to Mrs Malika who catered to our palette and Mr Harish and Girish used to personally serve us and be there for any requirements. Rest assured we needed anything or any information in Varanasi Mr Harish used to provide to us in an instant.
Will surely go back there and No one will returned disappointed as you are looked after as a family member
