I recently stayed at this beautiful hotel in the heart of Varanasi, and it was an incredible experience. What makes this hotel truly special is its location. As they say, "Banaras galiyo mein basta hai," and this hotel does complete justice to that sentiment. It immerses you in the soul of the city, making it an ideal stay for anyone looking to experience the real Banaras.
The interiors are thoughtfully designed with an earthy texture that transports you back in time, perfectly capturing the essence of the city. The property is exceptionally well-maintained, and the rooms are spacious enough for three adults to stay comfortably.
The food was outstanding—authentic, flavorful, and a true delight for anyone looking to savor local cuisine. A special mention to the staff, who were not just hospitable but genuinely warm, welcoming, and always ready to assist. Their service made our stay even more memorable.
My entire family was pleased with the service, and we would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Varanasi!

We opted for Shri Nilayam Kutir when we were travelling to Varanasi for a short trip. Realized that the decision was good as earlier we were looking for properties which were on the bank of Ganga and due to flooding they either were in a bad shape or had become inaccessible.
Pros : Location is close to Cantt Railway station and right next to Sanskrit Mahavidalaya The room size is good Decor is traditional and the room decor reminds you of old style houses or a village hut. Food is delicious
Cons: Parking - Does not have a parking space as it is located in a lane ( we didn't mind as we had already checked the same). Food availability - not everything which is mentioned in the food menu is available.
We were given Gomti Kutir (or the Presidential Suite). The room size was good. It had a separate bed room and a living area. Along with fans and ample lighting, it was air conditioned. It also had a large screen Television. There was a dressing area with a cupboard and a unique chest (no lockers) and the bathroom was modern and decent sized.
Ample toiletries were given and the housekeeping was fine.
The food was delicious - only one thing which needs to be focused on was availability of all items mentioned in the menu (I am not talking about seasonal options). They also need to keep in mind the timings mentioned in the menu for various meals. We had our breakfast (1 day), dinner (2 days) and lunch (1 day) and liked the food. Most of the time they wanted us to have food in the room (no difference in rates) rather than their dining areas - one on 1st floor and one on terrace. We had one dinner in the terrace area which is really nice, one can see the nearby locations and enjoy the meal in a nice ambience; one day we had our breakfast at the 1st floor dining area - ambience wise nice again.
The location is Telia Bagh close to Khadi Ayog office and in close vicinity of Teth Banaras Bati Chokha and Baati Choka restaurants. It is close to the Chaura Mata temple on the circle or the Inner wheel circle. Transportation is easily available most of the time.
The staff was helpful and didn't push for additional services.

Niyam kutir hotel situated 2.8 km. From the kashi vishwanath temple the rooms are diffrent beutikue concepts all the rooms of sweet rooms very clean and comfortable giving positive energy. The staff are very carying and humble .

Had been to Kashi in a family sojourn. A nice hotel very near to Railway Station. The interiors present a village look with mud finish. The entire woodwork is aesthetically done and maintained. The rooms are also big and well maintained. The two restaurants serve tasty food. The service is excellent. Overall a wonderful stay worth remembering.

This beautiful Shri Nilayam Kutir portrays magnificent Indian traditional architecture with high quality hospitality and contemporary luxury. For instance, the rooms has been decorated in rich ancient ethnic village setup which are appealing to the eyes of any visitor, with all modern facilities. The concept of keeping "The shrimad Bhagwat Geeta" in all the rooms was highly appreciated. Apart from the comfortable stay, the kitchen exclusively serves delicious dishes and takes care of each guest's taste and preference. The staff of the hotel at reception (especially Mrs Garima), kitchen and house keeping were welcoming and very helpul and cooperative to the needs of the visitor. In short it provides a comfortable and pleasant stay. Highly recommend to people who loves Indian traditions.Â

I had a great experience staying at this hotel. The suite was clean, spacious, and well-maintained, making our stay comfortable. The staff was very friendly and welcoming, and the food was delicious with generous portions.
A special mention to Muskan, who handled our booking efficiently and gave us a warm traditional welcome with aarti and tika. Her professionalism and friendly nature made a great first impression.
The property also has a lift, which is a big plus for elderly guests. Overall, I was very happy with my stay and would definitely recommend this hotel to others!
