Tent City Varanasi is the only luxurious tented resort, beautifully located right on the banks of holy Ganga River offering panoramic views of the serene ghats, temples and historic palaces with steps. The river-facing resort aptly captures the true essence of Varanasi.
Places to stay are graded on a 0-100 scale. The higher the grade, the easier it is for travellers to find restaurants and things to do within walking distance.
We six family members stayed at Varanasi Tent City from 25th to 28th February 23 in Tent City number 525, 527, and 530 and we all are very much satisfied about everything from nice accomodation, eager to help coustomer staff, Excellent food, neat and cleane enviornment and above all very pious place on the river Ganga. Here I have to mention names of two persons who have made our stay very pleasant and comfortable.
Shri Harish Menon.... I just inqure about tent city and I don't know how he lead me to booking, he has very special marketing skill, I have no words to appreciate him. He has taken too much care for our comfortable stay at Tent City.
Pujaben....from beginning to end of our stay she is always there to help us, before we ask about our problems she solved it. Really very helping and always eager to help coustomers. A special Thanks to Pujaben.

Excellent property and very good staff , nicely maintained by all the members. Location of property is lifetime experience with all the amenities with in , must be first preference for all inspite of getting hotels at the ghat . Different with all experience

A very well made place. Location is excellent. Doesn’t feel like Varanasi. Being so close to the ghats yet far from the crowd and commotion feels good. Well planned setup. The Ganga Aarti in the premise is good too. The staff and services are hopeless! The staff seems too amateur, inexperienced and underaged! They fail to handle multiple guests or multi task. Everyone seems clueless! It’s more like ‘please help yourself, we are still figuring out what’s to be done!’ The check in was a confusing process to start with. One can never get thru the reception phone. Service is extremely slow and poor. For example, had asked for an additional bath towel, but never got it ever! Had mentioned a late check out by 11 am at the time of check in, had taken their confirmation too. But the next morning was bombarded with calls to check out in time! Everyone was clueless about their late check out commitment. Food is average. No in room dining. No À la carte, only buffet meals. Very very limited options. No live counters. This place is fairly new, so everything is clean and in place, but with this kind of service and staff I don’t know how long they’ll be able to maintain the property. Have serious doubts! Golf carts are available, but only if u spot one, there’s no way to call for them. One needs to walk a lot, so a concern for seniors.

A new project in the holy city of Varanasi. The rooms are priced at over Rs.10K per night in off season. This is exorbitant considering the food quality and service.
Actually they don’t have a full time staff. They have hired all staff on short term contracts from budget hotels at Assi Ghat. So, they’re completely raw and untrained. And it’s not the fault of the staff, it’s completely the fault of the management and their greed is visible in the way the property is managed.
The property doesn’t offer any room service. At the restaurant, a normal tea or coffee will take minimum 45 minutes. In fact, it takes the restaurant staff 20 minutes to serve open buffet items on the table. That’s their level of service and efficiency.
I actually booked this property to experience something new and welcoming. But I was utterly disappointed. Considering it’s location, the property should offer transportation options to the Kashi Vishwanath temple and other parts of the city, even if they charge. But they don’t provide any options. They’ve a boat service but the boats aren’t safe and the service frequency is very very poor.
All in all, completely avoidable.

Too expensive for the rates and services offered. Food is of sub standard quality which is very highly priced. I have stayed in white rann resort where quality of service and food is of top quality with less rates. Even check in experience is not very friendly.

I had a great stay at Tent City. We had wonderful views of the Ganges and Varanasi. The room is very spacious and the workers were very accommodating. The hotel has a lot of events and services like a gym, cultural dances, and boat rides into the mainland.

Overall really great experience in terms of ambience and services. Specially to mention the services of the dining staff were fantastic. Ms. Namrita who is in charge of the dining experience has complete knowledge and is a gem of person. Her hospitality and soft spoken nature is something that is truly remarkable. She made us fresh Jain food even though we were only 6 people who were jains. She is an asset for any company she works at. Thankyou tent City Varanasi for making our trip memorable.

One word to desciribe pathetic 1: Food was very bad quality and does not even compete with locat hotel. 2: There was no variety in food for the cost charged. 3: Staff was not co opertaive at all. 4: Tents are ok and well maintained , AC works fine even in hot summer. 5: Housekeeping in available only after multiple reminders. 6: you cannot lock the tent as its just chain and cloth. 7: Extra bed is just a mattress. and there is no place in tent to put that . The location is the best for us to stay at ganga kinare. The proximity of kashi vishvanath mandir and rhe ganga river certainly gives an edge to the resort. The event is a historic one for the tourism sector and the people who wanted to stay at the holy place with the ambiance and amenities. An awesome work by the tent city team.
