The hotel is right at the ghat and the first sight of it makes you happy. The hotel is a heritage property with very comfortable rooms and luckily we got the one with a small balcony on the third floor. As there is no road access our boat man was ready when we arrived at rajghat and took us throught...

We stayed for 3 nights and everything about the Hotel was great. The Location, the accommodation and the food. With a boat to pick us up at the start of our stay and to return us to our transport at the end of the stay. Within 10 minutes walk of the cremation sites and superb views from the roof top...

The good: Spectacular location next to Bhomsale Ghat. Beautiful building (from the outside) with a lovely courtyard on the 2nd/3rd floor and a rooftop restaurant. Nightly music in the common room, which makes the place incredibly atmospheric. There is no vehicle access near the hotel so the only way to reach with baggage is by boat from a ghat near...

A lovely hotel right on the Gatts. And within 10 minutes walk of the cremations area. A heritage building with nice bedrooms and a fairly decent restaurant. The building itself is very attractive, and they've done a good job restoring it. Recommended.

This hotel looks utterly stunning as you approach it for the first time from a small boat along the river. The exterior facade is beautiful, as is the entrance lobby. Sadly I cannot say the same for the rooms, which were fairly standard, small and tired. The views from the open courtyard are stunning, right over the river. Sadly I...

In a great location, this is the dilapidated remains of what was obviously a lovely residence. To be fair, it retains a lot of charm, and so we enjoyed the stay, except for the food. It was barely edible, what we could bear to eat at all... Too bad because the rooftop restaurant has a mesmerizing view of the Holy...

This is not the most luxurious hotel in Varanasi, but as all the reviews say, its location is perfect, at the top of a ghat, overlooking the holy River Ganges. The building itself is a handsome sandstone structure, which certainly lives up to its description as a heritage hotel. The rooms are rather plain and simple, but the restaurant is...

We really enjoyed staying here. The staff were very friendly and helpful at all times. In the restaurant one waiter deserves special mention: Sanjay. He made mojito drinks (of course non-alcoholic) which were tasting so good and decorated into an art form. And when I coughed he simply went off and brought me a soothing lemon, ginger and honey drink....

Situated on the Ganges, you could not ask for a better location. As for the accommodations, honestly everyone tries very hard, but the property is not a deluxe five star. Having said this, I would say that I don't believe it should be such. Varanasi is a very special and holy city. Sacred in so many ways for all HIndus....

You couldn't find a better location! It was fun riding by boat to get there- otherwise it would be a 30 minute walk. We arrived after dark so chose not to walk. The hotel is very clean and the staff helpful. A safe is in the room. Breakfasts were good. We found we had to run the water for a...
