Stayed at this spanking new Doubletree by Hilton, Varanasi ( opened in September'2023) for 3 nights to attend a family wedding. My impressions:
Rooms: are spacious and well appointed with ample storage and adequate lighting. Bathrooms are well designed with seperate shower cubicle( shower pressure excellent)and Crabtree & Evelyn toiletteries. We had the sprawling city view room on the 10 th Floor. WIFI connection is great throughout the Hotel.
Food : A hotel is judged largely by its restaurant and food. At present they have this multi cuisine restaurant Divo which is really huge & spacious with an open kitchen ( the Bar is not yet opened awaiting licence and I understand they have plans for another vegetarian thali restaurant in the near future). Restaurant serves breakfast, lunch & dinner. Breakfast buffet spread is adequate with freshly made to order eggs, dosas, fresh puris served at the table besides the usual fare including one chicken preparation. Lunch and dinner menu is fairly varied and food quality is excellent. Service is excellent. We enjoyed all our meals, preferred a la carte( against the buffet). Culinary Director and Executive Chef Buddhadev Chatterjee specially cooked for us at a lunch some great Hilsa fish preparations and Kosha Mangsho(a mutton dish which is popular in Kolkata). It was awesome. Our sincere thanks to him and his team for making our culinary experience memorable.However, having said that I would also like to add honestly that we found the food to be slightly overpriced. I have stayed at many 5 star properties in India & abroad( including the Taj Ganges in Varanasi itself on earlier ocassions) and I find the similar dishes to be atleast 20 to 25% higher. Ofcourse, to be fair they do offer a 10 % discount to Hilton Honours members. Request the Management to take this as a feedback and explore ways to bring the menu prices to a comparable level with other similar properties.
The location of the Hotel is convenient from the Airport and other sightseeing areas, distancewise, but the locality itself is not a place where you can go around for a stroll.

Doubletree by Hilton Hospitality as usual. Perfect blend of class and modern. A great hotel for enjoying Varanasi. About 15-20 mins away from the hustle bustle of the ghats and the temples but a great setting for a luxurious stay. The restaurant was nice and we had dinner on all days. Gave us the best and lastly the Food & Beverage manager Mr. Anil Kumar who took extra care every time we went down for dinner. Would definitely recommend it to everyone travelling to Varanasi.
You have plenty of options to snack in Varanasi and then had a fulfilling dinner here. The breakfast spread was commendable. Nice pool and service too. The Duty manager Ms. Jyoti was very helpful and helped us with checking checkout for 30mint of our rooms as we had a late flight,

Visited the hotel during holi since it was newly constructed property and belonging to the Hilton chain. We opted for a suite room and we were baffled at the cleanliness of the room. It is located quite centrally and most of the tourist locations, markets and temples were within 20-30 mins of the hotel. The check-in experience we had was very hostile with no greetings or warm pleasantries. Upon reaching the room, the size of the room met our expectations, but the bathrooms, bathtubs, bedsheets, comforters and even the sofa were extremely dirty, with spots, stains and burn marks on them. We called the reception and asked for a cleaner room or housekeeping to fix the issues. They responded after a good 30 minutes and offered to get the room cleaned instead of providing a new room. The housekeeping were unable to remove stains and marks. Eventually they covered the sofa with bedsheets. The hotel has a travel desk to help with bookings etc., We booked our first day's darshan and Aarti and boat ride with the, only to be surprised with the exorbitant charges the hotel took from us. My advice to you is to reach the locations you wish to visit and make the booking there after proper negotiation and bargaining. We ordered in room dining, and the quality of the food was decent but be prepared to be consuming extremely oily food. For our airport drop off, we booked a SUV car but on the day of our travel, they provided us with a sedan car instead saying that we didn't inform them of our requirements despite having received conformation from them on WhatsApp that they will be providing us with an Innova. Overall, the hotel did not meet my expectations at all, and the hospitality we received was at best that of a 4 star hotel.

We chose this hotel because since there is not much accommodation on offer in Varanasi, compared to the rest of the hotels in the same category it was the one with the best price.
I have to say that it was the best choice we could have made. The hotel is new as it has only been in operation for a short time, and although it still has some areas that are undergoing renovation, it clearly compensates.
The treatment with us was unbeatable from the reception to the restaurant staff. Even though we arrived at 11:30 a.m. they let us check in without a problem and upgraded us to a pool view room without any additional charge.
The rooms are spacious, new, very comfortable and with a very good design. The pool area is very pleasant to take a bath and sunbathe.
Special mention to the restaurant with a breakfast with many Western options and one of the best I have had in India (I could say that the French toast is the best I have ever had) and dinner within our à la carte half board.
As for the location, it is obviously not in the city center but most of these hotels are not, which allows you to get away from the hustle and bustle to be able to rest and get closer to it in 20 minutes by car.
The only drawback I could say is that the first day the shower pressure was not very good, although the next day it was correct and the gym could do with a few more things. But I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

There’s Nothing wrong with this Hilton,but considering that it just opened a few months ago, I thought it would be a bit more upscale than it is. I’ve stayed at Hilton Garden Inns and Hampton Inns in the US that were more upscale than this supposed higher end property. But, it’s OK, just a bit basic.
The bed was extremely comfortable and I liked the design of the bath/shower as well as the Crabtree & Evelyn toiletries. I did have a problem trying to regulate the temperature in the room, so not sure if it’s a problem or just user error. Probably the latter.The restaurant was decent offering all the standard foods you’d expect for breakfast, although I couldn’t understand why it takes so long to get a cup of coffee or a refill. Nevertheless, Sriram and Mou were great hosts, as well as Aram, one of the bellmen.
Overall, it checked all the boxes and I’d stay here again since it offers a reasonable price point.

I visited this Hotel with my mother in April 2024 during my vacation. Varanasi has always been on my hit list and my agent had booked this hotel for me and with it be a Hilton hotel I had very high expectations. This hotel met my expectations more than what I had and all I can say is that this is an exquisite and comfortable.
When I entered, I was received by the staff there and a Rudraksh was put around my neck. At reception I sat down, and a refreshing drink was bought for me and my mum. The check-in process was efficient. We arrived at the hotel before check in time however Manager Mr. Atul met with us and assisted us with our requirement and upgrade our room to higher category. Check-in process was quick and smooth Thank you Swarnow & Arjun. When we entered the room all I can say is I thought it was bright and well appointed. It had everything that we would need and efficiently appointed with everything we needed, hence we did not need to call for anything extra. The housekeeping staff Satish was extremely attentive and ensured the room was cleaned and maintained well. The Turn Down service was also efficient. As I was there for a celebration, they had decorated the room well and surprise us with cake in the room. Also, breakfast was exquisite and tasty. They had everything that I needed from choice and spread of food from Indian to western. In addition, they had an Indian live counter which they were able to serve traditional south Indian dishes. Juices were made fresh, and the Masala Tea was tasty. Everyone in the restaurant were so attentive and I could see they cared for their guests, and they kept coming to see if I was ok. On the day of our checkout, they even came and asked if we would like anything packing to take with us for the road, which was an added special touch. I like this hotel so much that I am intending to visit Varanasi again just to be able to spend more time at the hotel and see more sites in Varanasi.

Before coming to Varanasi, we searched for a comfortable and clean hotel, and the DoubleTree by Hilton seemed like the perfect choice. As the only Hilton property in Pandeypur, it was easily recognized by all cab and auto drivers. The rooms were well-maintained and clean, meeting Hilton's high standards. We appreciated the ample provision of free water bottles and the welcoming, professional staff. Every request made over the phone was promptly addressed, and the staff always greeted us with smiles. After a long, hot day visiting the temples, returning to the comfortable hotel was well worth the booking.
Special thanks to Ms. Anushka at the front desk, as well as Mr. Abhinav and Mr. Deepak, for their exceptional service.
A couple of suggestions for improvement: If a room is booked for three adults, there should already be three bath towels provided before check-in. Additionally, there should be three pairs of room slippers instead of just one.

Very nice hotel with excellent staff. Location is not central to the tourist area so you need to get a half hour cab/tuk tuk in, but it’s nice to not be in the thick of things because the city center is chaos. The room was very nice and clean. The breakfast and dinner buffets were absolutely delicious with a wide range of food, and the staff there provided excellent service. Some memorable staff members were Anand, Hoshi and Baseer. However, many of the staff members were very pushy and insistent that we leave a review about them and their service. I kept saying I would leave a review at the end of our stay, but they kept insisting that we scan their QR codes to review them. It became very annoying, and while I understand that it would benefit them, I’m not going to leave 10 different reviews about individual staff members. The last thing you want at a hotel is to be hassled by the staff members. Overall they provided great service, but that is what they are paid to do. Other than that, the hotel was great and I would stay again.
