Although the street does not invite you to stay in this establishment (narrow and dirty), the truth is that we have been very happy with the treatment received, one of the best in India. They have everything very well organized, including transfers and guided tours with the hotel's own workers. Furthermore, right upon arrival they offered us a better room than what we contracted for our greater comfort without paying any additional cost. We would 100% repeat the accommodation.

I stayed at the Heritage Inn Hotel during my trip to Varanasi and I cannot recommend it highly enough. The staff was incredibly kind, always attentive to my needs and extremely responsive. The mattresses were exceptionally comfortable, ensuring nights of restful sleep after busy days exploring the city. Additionally, the hotel's location is ideal, just a 5-minute walk from the famous ghat, allowing you to fully enjoy the vibrant atmosphere of Varanasi. My stay at the Heritage Inn Hotel was a wonderful experience and I am already planning to return there on my next trip to the area.

My family had to visit Varanasi and I was a bit concerned about their trip as all of them are quite elderly (all aged 65+). I booked their stay at the hotel heritage inn on someone's recommendation and did not regret the decision at all. I coordinated with Mr. Ashim Tripathi and he ensured an exceptionally smooth stay and also arranged vehicle facility and guide for their trip.
My family experienced a hassle free and memorable pilgrimage. They were very satisfied with the quality of the rooms and food served at the hotel and with the way the hotel staff dealt with them . I thank the staff at hotel heritage inn esp. Mr. Ashim Tripathi for making their stay very comfortable.

Faced a few issues at the accomodation- air conditioning in the room didn’t work and the temperature in the room was 31 degrees. Sheets and pillows were very dirty. Accomodation is going through major renovations which caused a lot of inconvenience. Some of the staff will try and force you to plan your day as per their agenda. Carry water with you as only 1 small bottle is supplied per person per day. Roof top restaurant is not clean and un hygienic and very hot. Overall didn’t have a pleasant experience.

Awful place for the price but a good location. Stayed here for 2 nights and had no hot water - so cold showers throughout the stay. We complained but no discount or concessions to the room rates as a result. I wouldn’t recommend this place, having hot water is pretty basic for a hotel and at this price, it’s the minimum you expect.
We also had food here, the service was poor, lack of communication and our order (because it was a big order) was pushed to the end of the queue. The doorman and the cleaners were extremely friendly and good at catering (even though getting towels took around 40 minutes to receive!).
They don’t even allow international card payments, how do we pay!
I would look elsewhere, I do not recommend this place.

After reading other reviews, raving about the cleanliness of the rooms, I say the housekeeping staff forgot to mop our floor. It was very dirty. The bathroom had no barrier at the shower. It was total open plan and the floor dropped away from the shower so instead of the water going down the drain, it pooled on the floor around the vanity, near the bathroom door. It was never dry the whole 3 nights we stayed. The wifi would drop in and out all the time and the connection was weak.
Now for the positives. The location is great, close to the ghats. The staff are very helpful and pleasant.
The rooftop restaurant is the best. The menu & price were great. The food yummy. We ate every breakfast & dinner there. I have to say, the service was not fast and the young staff appeared new and awkward but that added to the charm. The restaurant manager, JAY PRAKASH PAL is awesome. He always greeted us with a smile and he has a good memory with our orders. I wish him and his wife and daughters a happy and healthy life.

If it were the look of the street the hotel is on, you would never stay there. Narrow, dirty and with smelly sewage running on both sides of the street. Although this will be a municipal responsibility, the hotel itself should invest in having more adequate access.
The dining room on the terrace is very pleasant and cool if they have turned on the air conditioning. This is not always the case and sometimes you have to eat in very uncomfortable heat.
The outdoor terrace to have a drink at night when the temperatures are more acceptable is very pleasant.
The elevator starts on the first floor so you don't escape climbing a first flight of stairs and suffering from very oppressive heat inside.
The dining room on the terrace is very pleasant and cool if they have turned on the air conditioning. This is not always the case and sometimes you have to eat in very uncomfortable heat.

We had a very nice experience while staying at the Heritage Inn Hotel. It is situated in a lively and picturesque area of Varanasi, with different kinds of shops and within walking distance to the Ganges River and the ghats (steps leading to the Ganges).
The hotel has a rooftop restaurant and terrace with tasty, fresh food. The room and bathroom were very clean, our room even had a tiny closed terrace with a rocking chair. The room had a TV, a mini fridge, air conditioning and an electric celeing fan.
The staff was friendly and ready to help. The hotel offered transporation when this was needed and we also had the services of a good and knowledgeable guide (independent guide), Mr. Akash, who also collaborates with the hotel.
The hotel is safe, clean, has a good ratio price - quality and makes a good choice for a stay in Varanasi.
