It is gorgeous! Only about 22 cottages from memory not many, great to relax. They are always friendly and they always laugh! Should try the piña-colada by the pool. It's near the top of poppies lain 1, walking distance to Kuta Beach and Kuta Square. Lots of restaurants near. Poppies lain 1 though is narrow and taxis can't go up.... More

This is the 4th time I have stayed at Poppies and I still love it! Its a haven away from the mayhem outside its front doors! The place is really quiet - even the staff are quiet! I dont think it would suit people who like poolside fun, music and drinking time poolside but if you want to chill by... More

This review is a bit late but I thought I would make a contribution to Poppies. They have been here for many years. One of the first I believe. It is located opposite Poppies Restaurant in Poppies Lane. So it is in a good central spot where you can walk down Jalan Legian or the other way to Kuta Square.... More

I have stayed many times here and always return due to the ambience and beauty of the cottages and Gardens. The pool area is quite unique as an Oasis right in the heart of Kuta. Its very quiet in the cottages and you would never know outside is a very busy gang. Its just so central and relaxing here, I... More

Our 5 stay at this wonderful hotel you simply can't say enough nice things, the gardens are superb the pool just fantastic and the staff make the visit so worthwhile. We first came here about 15 years ago and many of the staff are still here, which is why it is consistently good and every one who stays just loves... More

Just returned from a 2 nights stay at Poppies, a very pleasant experience. The cottage is lovely with an amazing outdoor bathroom (sheltered). This is my second visit to Bali and I generally do not like Kuta but this little gem kept us from all the craze and buzz... a short walk to all the craziness, alcohol, beach, restaurants and... Thank you for your helpful review. We do feel obliged to point out that not only is there a bathtub in every cottage (as well as a shower), but it's a sunken one. It is big enough for two, and there is plenty of hot water. Not sure how it could have been missed. And the smell referred to is... More

Located in the madness of the middle of Kuta. Step through the carved wooden doorway and you feel like you have stepped into the secret garden. VERY quiet and tranquil. Gardens and pool beautiful. Small complex of about 20 cottages with thatched roofs. This is the most Balinese style of accomodation we have stayed in. Breakfast not inclued but you... More
