Quick review of a place that could easily be a paradise, but that in fact is not that pleasant due to a management team with a SUPER arrogant attitude. Plus: Location - perfect, steps away from Balangan beach, one of the best in the Bukit peninsula! Great view of the ocean from pool and restaurant. Rooms - traditional bungalows w...

This is a short review as I didn't stay at La Joya, I just went there for dinner with my girlfriend. Basically, we ordered waited 15-20 minutes, and my girlfriend's food arrived. Then, I waited 15 minutes, but my food still hadn't arrived, so I asked the waitress...I was told "Coming, coming...". I waited another 10 minutes, and went to...

I didn't stay at La Joya, thankfull for that, but I was in Bali with a group and we booked a dinner there, (my birthday dinner) and we waited more than 3hours for the food, only started eating at 10:30p.m. The food wasn't good at all (and for Bali it was expensive, comparing with other places), the owner was really...

I stayed at La Joya two years ago and it was wonderful - this time it was horrible. You could tell that the staff was Balinese staff were unhappy with the European owners. The owner was rude and I could not wait to leave. It is a shame because it is a beautiful hotel, but noting like the wonderful Bali...

For us La Joya is the best place to stay in south Bali. Walking distance to the beautiful Balangan beach and a short drive to all other beaches on the Bukit peninsula. The bungalows are stylish, clean and perfect for couples or those with young children. The gardens are fantastic, really beautiful, and the pools and decked areas great for...

Stayed here with my family (with 2 kids; 6 months and 2 years). We've had great service and support from the very friendly staff. We stayed here for 2 weeks, and had a great time. We had the deluxe bungalow, which was great with two kids. The staff are really friendly for kids and helped us wherever possible. We even...

La Joya sits at the end of a long road on a cliff high above the beach. In essence this means that unless you have a car or hire a taxi you must eat there. The food is ok but overpriced. The beach is a long walk down a very steep path. The "pods" for sleeping are small and sadly...

This is a place that I would recommend to anyone who is looking for beautiful, romantic bungalows set in peaceful surroundings a few minutes walk from the beach, with good food, nice swimming pools and friendly staff. The value you get for your money at La Joya is exceptional. We stayed here during the first days of our holidays and...
