The Hilton Bali Resort garners praise for its pristine cleanliness and range of amenities, including luxurious pools and an executive lounge, all framed by breathtaking ocean views. While some guests have called out the spacious rooms for their comfort and vistas, a few note occasional noise and housekeeping inconsistencies. The resort's atmosphere is celebrated for being welcoming and relaxing, although it can be punctuated by noise disruptions. Service at the hotel is frequently lauded for staff attentiveness and professionalism. Opinions on value and location are mixed, with some highlighting the beachfront setting and food offerings, while others mention high prices and a sense of isolation.

From the moment we arrived, we felt relieved and relaxed.

Rooms:
Deluxe Sea View or Garden View- these are located in the North and South Wings. You are close to the lobby and breakfast but need to walk a decent distance to the pools, gym, kids club and beach.

Cliff Tower Sea View - you are now located IN the tower that is closest to the pool, gym, kids club and beach.

Pool Access - you are in the rooms closest to the pool, gym, kids club and beach.

We stayed in the pool access with a 3.5yr old and LOVED it. Your rooms are first to be cleaned in the mornings- around 10am and in the evenings around 530pm housekeeping comes by to ask if you need anything from their trolly.

We only ever walked up to the main building for breakfast and to collect our Go-Jek/Grab orders.

Go-Jek/Grab - the hotel was kindly very accommodating with this. Just inform them at the lobby and they'll collect it for you or you can get a ride in the buggy to collect.

The breakfast spread was most definitely a highlight of our trip and I recommend getting a room with breakfast included. Do note that they really do begin to clear away the spread from 1015am onwards and do not replenish from 10am. Between 1030 and 1045am expect most areas to be completely removed. This is a hotel where you need to be at breakfast by 930 at least to enjoy it.

Some staff who really made our trip a memorable one were - Ira from check-in, Stanley at the lobby, and a lovely young man from Housekeeping who came by our room 113 each morning and evening between August 1st and 6th 2024.

We have loved this resort despite a few hiccups. We booked a swim-up suite - if you can book room 115 do so.

It's a little noisy as others have said. Music from the beach and children having fun. I like the music. Kids at 8am not so much but it's OK. We are here Christmas week and it's to be expected.

The beach area: we don't go to Bali for the beach. It's been red flagged half the days we've been here (7 nights). I didn't see rip currents though. The beach and ocean are great to look. The lobby has an expansive view.

Pools: I don't know why but when I get up around 10am every chair is taken. Book the swim up room. In the early afternoon the beach chairs free up. It reminds me of cruise ships until they started the no saving chairs programs.

Hot tubs: same temp as the pools but with jets.

Work out room: I'm lazy and didn't do it but normally I work out. It's a really fantastic site.

Food: we ate ate the Shore most days. The food is great and reasonable. You can check the website for menu and prices.

For Christmas Eve we ate at the Grain. They had carving stations for Turkey and Ham. They had corn fed Ribeye, lots of prawns, oysters and other things. It was about $30 USD pp. Drinks were not included. It looked like they were but they aren't.

For Christmas Dinner tonight we are going to a seafood fest. I think it was about $65 USD each. I'll update.

Wine is super expensive here. A bottle I buy at home for $12 (Lindemans Pinot Gregio) is 830,000 IPR ! I bought the same in Ubud for 320,000.

My complaint is that we were somehow assigned a concierge who did nothing expect harass us. I had asked for some dining reservations a couple weeks before arriving and hadn't heard back. I brought it up during check-in.

We were exhausted checking in. I'm not kidding I had several whatsapp text messages followed buy numerous messages and FOUR calls the next morning. She insisted I drop everything to meet her for the dining receipts. I'm exhausted and she gave me a lecture.

She didn't produce the receipts. She continued to harass me for two more days. If we didn't go to breakfast, she'd send ne texts asking why. This was after I told her numerous times we don't eat breakfast.

I finally had to tell her to leave me alone. I felt like a time share salesperson was harassing me. I'm not paying $2400 for 7 nights plus food and drinks to be harassed.

Yeah so we get breakfast for free at the lounge (we don't ear breakfast) and evening cocktails (I'd rather be at the pool). The lounge is not close.

Regardless, we've loved this resort.

The location of the hotel is very good. What saddened and surprised us was that the nearby beach was covered in algae. The sea was completely full of algae and it was impossible to walk on the beach because of the rocky sea stones. The outer area of the beach next to the emergency meeting place, just 100-200 meters away, was stone-free and comfortable. However, the sea could still be covered with algae and sea plants. The tide of the sea reaches incredible heights of 5-6 meters during the day. If desired, the beach can be made clean with one person.

The breakfast is very rich, you can try many things. It appeals to almost everyone. There is even Turkish menemen (although it is different), you can find fruits, desserts, omelettes and all kinds of breakfasts.

We stayed at the cliff tower. The rooms are large and useful. Monkeys entered one of our group's rooms even though the door was closed and took away all the food and, for some reason, the playing cards. We could see them eating what they bought. The hotel warned us but they forgot.

A wonderful place in terms of price-quality ratio, if you take it at a discount. Like many good hotels at this time, the hotel is densely populated, all the rooms are full. Weddings every day, celebrations. We took the most economical option on the 1st floor, overlooking the garden. We lived on the 1st floor, we were warned that sometimes monkeys might come. They really live in the forest next to the hotel, and at sunset they come to the hotel territory, behave modestly, and are afraid of people. We treated them to bananas, it was an incredible experience to watch them sitting on our own balcony. Breakfasts and dinners are average, the location of the buffet is very inconvenient, stretched out, drinks like juices and kombucha at breakfast are for a fee, I didn’t like it, it wasn’t said anywhere, the drinks were on display, but as soon as we took them, the waiters told us the cost. Dinner included 1 non-alcoholic drink, but you have to insist on this - the staff persistently pretends that they don’t know about it, but at the reception we specifically clarified that the drink is included. The food is average, for 4. The area is small but beautiful. The room stock could be newer.

My stay at the Hilton Bali Nusa Dua Resort was far from the luxurious getaway I anticipated, marred by a series of unpleasant experiences. Right from the start, the service was disappointingly slow and often incompetent, making simple requests feel like a burden.

Communication was a significant barrier, as it was challenging to find staff members proficient in English, which only added to the frustration. The resort seemed ill-equipped to handle non-native speakers, which is unexpected from a global hotel chain.

The ambiance was constantly disrupted by the overwhelming presence of screaming children, making any relaxation next to impossible. Both the pools and the beach were overcrowded and poorly maintained, with cleanliness being a notable issue. The pools were dirty, and the beach was littered with debris, stray dogs, and ongoing construction work that started as early as 6:30 AM.

Moreover, the beach area was a disappointment with visible works disrupting the view and peace. The noise from these activities, coupled with loud neighbors, made my stay less than peaceful.

The room cleanliness was subpar with grimy surfaces and a musty smell, not what one would expect from a supposed five-star resort. The overall management of the facility seems lacking, with little attention to maintaining hygiene and guest comfort.

Unfortunately, I cannot recommend the Hilton Bali Nusa Dua Resort based on my experience. It falls short of the standards expected from the Hilton brand, and the numerous issues I encountered led to a regrettable stay.

An overall disappointing experience. While the staff has been very courteous at all times, too many things were lacking in this venue. We had booked an executive package so as to have a bit more quiet around breakfast time, but the breakfast at the exec-lounge was so absolutely minimal in choice, that we several times preferred the crowded breakfast room for a better choice and better coffee. Housekeeping was substandard in as much as several times the room was still not made by 4.30 pm when we got back from the beach or from outings although we had vacated the room and set the "make up room" sign for more than 6 hours! There was a distinct lack of a somewhat finer dining option to the mass service buffet or the beach cabana style eateries. It was also disappointing that in the executive lunge even after 8 days, we were still asked daily for our room number let alone the staff knowing our names. All in all, we believe that this venue was not living up to the Hilton Standard that we know from other Hilton venues in Asia.

This was our first time staying in Nusa Dua. On arrival, check in was very quick and prompt (we arrived at the hotel very early in the morning). We had two rooms booked - one for us and one for our son. We were staying for our 10th wedding anniversary.

Room - On entering our room, we had been given a twin bed. Not a major issue so let it be. The one thing we did notice that surprised us was that outside the door and whenever the water was turned on there was a very strong smell of sewage (Room 2208.) We contacted the front desk who had someone come out to look at it and seemingly for a day or so the issue was resolved. Whilst the issue was being resolved, we were offered another room in case the issue couldn’t be fixed. This was a lovely gesture but due to having our son with us we needed two rooms next to one another. Unfortunately; this was not something that could be met. We decided to accept that the smell wasn’t going away and lived with it until we left.

Staff - The staff were very lovely and the duty manager Tiko tried to rectify the sewage smell.
We were kindly gifted cake on our wedding anniversary and a lovely towel swan with flowers was made on our bed.

Food - The food that I was able to eat (gluten and onion allergy) was very nice - not the hottest on gluten allergies though. Gluten free food sat in the middle of food with gluten. No separate area for it and no offer of alternative gluten free options. After staying for 5 days, I asked about gluten free pancakes. I was served them but noticed they were cooked on the same spot gluten ones had just been cooked on with the same utensils. The food was quite expensive for what it was but I believe that to be the same in any big brand hotel.

Swimming pool - beds being reserved ridiculously early. Getting to the pool for 9am to lots of towels on beds but very few people. One day at the pool; there were 3 beds next to us blocked - nobody used them - at 4pm owner of the items on beds in clothes no swim wear came and removed items. Such a shame as minimal beds.

Check out - very quick. Communication not the best. Being told no bill to then arriving home and having money taken out of bank account. This needs to be discussed with staff and each time an invoice should be given to customers.

All in all, lovely venue, very friendly staff and beautiful surroundings. Would we stay here again, probably not due to the minor things that could have been rectified so easily: moving our room and our son’s to a different part of the hotel that didn’t smell of sewage would have made it.

This review is on my experience with the reservation team at the hotel and the Hilton Honors call center, rather than the hotel stay itself. I reached out multiple times but couldn't find a satisfactory solution for my upcoming stay. I hope this message reaches the management team.

In June 2024, I made two reservations for an early November 2024 stay through the Hilton website. I confirmed that both bookings were for two guests and included the names of the additional guests.

However, in September 2024, I noticed that email confirmations state that each booking was for one person. I immediately called the hotel reservation team to verify, and they assured me that both reservations were for two guests, so I didn't make any changes.

On October 31, just three days before my check-in, I called again to confirm the total amount and double-check the guest count. This time, I was told each reservation was for one person and that I would need to pay an additional Rp 424,000 for each breakfast per night. I was shocked and disappointed to learn this.

The extra cost would total around $630 AUD for both bookings, which could have been avoided had I been given accurate information in September. I would have adjusted my reservations then. The price for a package for two people would have only been about 4% more, roughly $80 AUD per booking.

Despite numerous attempts to resolve this with both the hotel reservation team and Hilton Honors Customer Care, no one has offered a reasonable solution. They insist that I pay for the full-priced breakfast instead of adjusting the package for two guests (with package price), ignoring the misinformation I received that led me to believe my bookings were correct.

This experience has been very frustrating, especially since it's my first time dealing with Hilton directly. I find it much easier to work with platforms like Agoda and Expedia. I’m posting this in hopes that someone from the hotel management can assist me urgently.

My husband and I stayed at the following properties/dates: August 27- September 3 at the Hilton Bali, September 3-10 at the Conrad Bali, and September 10-15 at the Umana. All of the Hilton properties were fantastic, and we have already booked our return trip in January 2025. Note that my husband is a Hilton Honors Diamond member. Hilton made a special effort to recognize his status at all of the hotels with various nice touches, and thanked him for his loyalty every day. A separate review has been posted regarding the Conrad Bali.

This was our third stay at the Hilton Bali, and once again, our stay was lovely! The accommodations, grounds, food/beverage, and service were all outstanding. We stayed in a villa with a beautiful ocean and tropical foliage view – it is a pleasure to lounge outside all day in such a tropical and private environment. There was a beautiful plumeria tree in our backyard. We had fun watching a few harmless monkey visitors who drank from our pool. Hilton has expanded on their Villa Lounge canapes selection in the evening, and the Lounge service is always impeccable. A special thank you to Agnes (check-in), Oka (check-out/transportation), Nisa, the Lounge staff (Bagus, Subrati, Intan, Laudy, Merta), Ariawan for keeping our room tidy, and countless other staff who made our stay special. Room service is speedy, and the food is tasty and reasonably priced. Additionally, there is a small convenience shop a short walking distance from the hotel.

Some very minor points of constructive feedback- as is the case at most hotels, the HVAC was very loud and there was a heavy down blanket on the beds. In the tropics, we prefer to sleep with a light blanket. While the language barrier can be challenging, the Hilton made every attempt to accommodate our request. Additionally, the villa sofa is very wide and more like a day bed that was positioned a long distance away from the television, which means that it is not very comfortable to watch television. Additionally, we had one negative interaction with security. My husband and I were walking through a main lobby area, and there was a large group of conference attendees heading in the opposite direction. We shifted to the side of the walkway to let them pass, but it seemed that we did not move quickly enough-- there was an overly aggressive security person who unnecessarily placed hands on my husband to move him out of the way. Finally, there were some frustrating occasions in which some of the younger Hilton guests were allowed to scream for some period of time, which was certainly not within Hilton’s control but not very conducive to relaxation.

The Hilton Bali has become one of our favorite homes away from home- we can’t wait to check back in on January 26, 2025!

i did not see any sign about weight restriction and children age in the adult pool. That pool is deeper, more tailored to older children. Hilton has a kiddie pool for toddlers also. So you have 2 choices
