Super duper recommended hotel in Sanur especially for they who want to go to Penida by fastboat. Near Sunrise beach, and many bar. Cheap price but excellent facilities inside! So much love and promise will be back as soon!

From what I can recall, the curtains are not that sheer, but certainly aren't 100% block out. The morning sun doesn't come through the windows, so we found it quite ok. The afternoon sun comes in, which is lovely when sitting on your balcony, but wasn't a problem if in the room with the curtains closed. It really depends on how dark you really like it. I think a lot of the more budget hotels have limited curtain budgets, so they do appear to be more "sheer" in nature. For a really dark room I think you would probably need to up your price bracket.
