Villa orchid is a unique and beautiful place amids the rice paddies. Gerhard and Yuni are great hosts, always willing to provide shuttle services to Ubud, organize trips and make you feel comfortable from the moment you arrive. The breakfast is absolutely delicious and even our children found everything they longed for. If you don't feel like visiting Ubud you...

This is not your beachside flashy resort, but this pace was a treasure of a find. Villa Orchid really is a delightful place to relax and do as little or as much as you like. Gerhard and Yuni are very gracious hosts. Their pool is gorgeous, looking out over the local rice fields and with only one other bungalow you...

Villa orchid is a labor of love. The owners, Gerhard and Yuni, have invested substantial care in creating the beautiful gardens and bungalows. Their hospitality is top-notch, Yuni went out of her way to give me a ride to ubud and made a few stops along the way so I can run some errands. Definitely check out the nearby rice...

Villa Orchid is an absolute slice of paradise! It is a truly tranquil magical peaceful place to stay and relax. Surrounded by amazing exotic plants in an immaculate tropical garden that overlooks out to the neighbouring lush green rice paddies. Villa Orchid is such a nice place to stay: good service, friendly people, delicious breakfast, well kept and an ideal location near Ubud, in a quiet pleace in front of the rice fields.. My partner and I really loved staying at the Villa Orchid. The bugalows, the pool and the entire estate is so beautiful that it is easy to spend the whole day there enjoying the peaceful view over the rice fields. From the villa it's a 15-20min ride to Ubud city centre. There is also a rice field path leading to...

Villa Orchid is a little piece of paradise, far away from Ubud chaos. We had a wonderful stay there thanks to Yuni and Gerhard's kindness and attention. The structure is very beautiful. Our bungalow was large and very well kept. It was a pleasure to have breakfast in the bale with a view on the rice fields! We were offered...

Villa Orchid my partner and I stayed in was absolutely beautiful. It was tucked away just outside of Ubud, with never ending views of rice paddies. Yuni and Gerhard were amazing hosts, who were accommodating to every need of ours. They were so happy to give advice on places to go around Ubud and made sure we were comfortable. There...

We staid at Villa Orchid for 4 nights and enjoyed having the place basiclly to ourselves. It is located right next to the rice fields and approx. 10 min. driving distance to Ubud. The bungalows are very basic (no air conditioner) which was a bit of trouble to get some sleep. Nevertheless Gerhard, his wife and his staff take great...

It is a very quiet and romantic place and good for your soul. The pool has a very good temperature not to warm (appx. 23°C). The people are very friendly and drive you to the center of UBUD each day if you want. If we stay once again at bali, we will come back to orchid, and stay more than...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Between the two traditional villages Kelabang moding and Abangan, amidst a tropical garden, our Villa Orchid Bali nestled in an oasis of calm and reflection, 4 km to Ubud. From breakfast - Bale and from the pool, enjoy a wide and unobstructed view of rice terraces, surrounded by coconut palms and slender tree ferns. The quiet work of Balinese rice farmers in the sawah is for the silent and open-minded observer a meditative experience and inner enrichment. Swimming in the small river flowing by, and wash it women, men and children as ever, we believe time has stood still. Our Villa Orchid Bali and the two bungalows high standards were first conceived only as a private retreat for family and friends . For some time we will also be a good host for people who want to immerse themselves deeper and personal in the culture, religion, and in the landscape with its people. This is for interested people who want to see and learn more than a big Hotel can offer. Ubud, the cultural center of Bali, with its numerous temples and religious ceremonies-solid, with numerous galleries, dance performances and his monkey forest, is just four miles away from Villa Orchid Bali. A shuttle brings guests of the Villa quickly in the busy Monkey Forest Road or overflowing bazaar opposite the Royal Palace. Shopping and dining, stroll and visit, Ubud has much to offer. ... more   less
