We stayed here for 3 nights and for $17 a night you can't go wrong. Big room with our own verandah, breakfast included. Amazing pool and not far from the center, we got a scooter as were feeling quite lazy but an easy 5 min walk to nearby shops and restaurants. Staff were friendly and helpful, we booked a bike...

This is a lovely place to stay in Ubud. We had a very large "bungalow" - very big room and a big verandah with seating. The bathroom was a bit dated and not the cleanest it could have been but this was the only negative. The grounds of the site are beautiful, lots of plants and very well maintained. The...

We stayed in the bungalow in the rice field. I’m givingin 4 instead of 5 stars because the kitchen/living areas weren’t cleaned up after other guests left. However this place is so inexpensive and SO BEAUTIFUL. I loved staying in the rice fields-- but you better be in reasonable shape! It’s a walk into town, whether you go through the...

This review applies to Arajana at the top of Kajeng Road: we stayed here for a week, and on checking in, had to get someone to come and clean inside of our cupboards - dusty with spiderwebs and a dead gecko, clearly hadn't seen cleaning equipment for a very long time. In fairness they were quick about cleaning it up....

Arjana Bungalows is one of 3 places called Arjana which offer accomodation in Ubud. Note that this review applies to Arjana 2, located at #39 Kajeng, almost at the end of this picturesque street. Do not confuse Arjana 2 with Arjana 1, on the same street, but much closer to Jalan Raya Ubud, or Arjana 3, located in the middle...

We started at Arjana1 (the homestay closer to central Ubud), which was not great, tiny rooms, very loud cockerels, cats and dogs competing with the cicadas and motorbikes to ensure we got no sleep, sheets were actually single so didn't fit the bed properly and revealed a stained mattress when they inevitably came off - 150,000 rp a night (about...

My wife and I have stayed at Arjana 2 many times over the years, but as the price keeps going up and up, this homestay goes down and down...The pool is never cleaned properly (most of the time it's green), the bedding is torn and tattered, dangerous gas leaks emanate from the propane tanks that heat your shower water, and...

We stayed at Arjana 1, which is neares to the town of Ubud than Arjana 3. It also ist more simple und - therefore - cheaper. Arjana 1 is a homestay, which means that the rooms are around a court and the family of the owner is living there, too. So you can easily get some connections to the people...

We stayed in Arjana 3, which is a small set of two-storied buildings with a gorgeous view of the rice paddies. For the price, it is a lovely escape from the busyness of Ubud, being only about a ten minute walk to Ubud's main street. Breakfast is alright, though you don't have a choice of what you get. Two main...

I have spent many months in Ubud as an artist and this is no doubt the best location. So much so I almost don't want to tell people in case it books out. But, Made the manager is so sweet and the owner is a true gentlemen - so i have to let you know :) Clean new rooms with...

“if your idea of peace is sitting at the top of the rice fields and watching the ducks quack by as the sun sets, and you don’t mind a bit of an extra walk up a small hill, and you don’t mind frogs singign at night, then stay in the rice fields! it’s amazing.”
