The villa itself is stunning, secluded from the rest of the property but still open views of the fields. infinity pool. terrace (great for a night cap with friends). a small lawn. a pull out bed in the living room (w alternate washroom). jacuzzi master bathroom. super spacious. The staff are always handy, literally ... they give you a mobile... More

Love everything about The Samara. It's only a five-minute motorbike ride (which the villa provides for free) from the heart of Ubud town, yet it feels like a world away. Surrounded by lush rice paddies, The Samara puts you right smack in the middle of traditional Balinese life whilst enjoying the comforts of a modern, beautifully-designed, and well-equipped space. Service... More

Arrived here for our honeymoon from the outset the team at Samara treated us (and all the other guests) like we were the only couple here. All of the staff are exceptionally skilled in making each person feel special, nothing is too much trouble. The villas themselves are perfect in every way and tended to with an impeccable house keeping... More

It was my very first time to visit Ubud though i've been in Bali few times. Since there were not many options to choose from international chain hotels, i chose Samara with all great reviews and it was one of my best decision made in Bali trip. It was just lovely villa with 6 rooms (they have pool villa as... More

Our 5 day stay at the Samara Villas in late August 2016 was a return visit for both my husband and myself. The welcome we received from all staff, and the emotions we experienced on return were like coming back home to a very special place. The small staff went out of their way to ensure that all our needs... More

Best place i've been on our holiday in Indonesia. People are friendly. All the little thinks they do makes Samara a place to come back when we go to Ubud again. Place is nice and quit. And a nice view over the ricefield. And when you go down it isn't that far from the centre of Ubud. Love this place.... More

We stayed at The Samara Villas for 7 days in August 2016 and had a wonderful time. It was a great location - close to the city but in beautiful scenery and peacefully quiet. The complimentary scooter rides from the main street of Ubud were appreciated once our feet had gotten sore from walking. Pack light (you don't need much... More

Modern rooms in a peaceful area. Worth staying 1-3 nights while in Ubud. Friendly staff, cosy place outside of the main city within walking distance. Located in the rice field. We had a huge problem with canalisation and odour caused by it but have been offered a private villa in compensation. Villa recommended for a family/friends stay. Standard rooms very... More
