My friend and I stayed at the Okawati hotel for 2 nights at the end of November. I can't fault the location, it is bang in the middle of Ubud and is a short walk from the bars, restaurants, markets. The grounds and the pools are beautiful. Our room was a traditional balinese style room and was decorated nicely. The... More

Staff were fantastic and the rooms were to absolutely gorgeous! The location was perfect - right in the heart of everything. I loved this place and would recommend staying here to anyone. The only thing that could be improved...there were no TV's in the rooms.

We had a lovely stay here. It's down a little lane and slightly away from the busy street which is nice. It's a bit dated around the pool, and the rooms aren't the biggest. But having said that it is very nice, it's clean and the breakfasts are slightly above the average for this type of Bali hotel. Location is... More

We had a pleasant stay in nice surroundings in Okawati Hotel in Ubud. It was clean, good service, the pool was nice and we had a balcony to sit on and have breakfast. The only thing is that there was no access to drinking water, so you had to buy bottled water - even with breakfast. Most accommodation in Ubud... More

Having spent 11 nights in Sanur, my wife and I joined our family for 4 nights in Ubud at the Okawati. It is hidden away, to the extent that a taxi can't get within 200 yards - narrow alleyways, stalls and restaurants - but, once at the hotel, it opens up into a very pleasant 'garden-type' environment, with nice vegetation... Set back off Monkey Forest Road and only a couple of hundred metres from central Ubud. It is a charming, quiet and relaxing place to stay. We planned to stay 3 nights but extended our stay because we liked it so much. Our room was very clean but quite small and I do agree with some of the comments by previous... More

We stayed 5 nights at Okawati, located in the heart of Ubud. A block or so up brings you to Ubud Palace, and a 10 minute walk brings you to the Monkey Forest, lots of restaurants in every direction. Tucked away in a quiet alley, it's an oasis from the craziness of the main street. Speaking of the alley, we... More

This characterful hotel really wins on location, just off Monkey Forest road and easy walking to everywhere in central Ubud - important as Ubud is gridlocked with traffic so much of the time, not only a waste of your holiday time but taxis expensive as a consequence. It is set off the road and very serene, and very pool nice,... More

Positives: Location is excellent - just off Monkey Forest Road. The room was clean and comfortable (but small), made up every day, with a nice balcony overlooking the pool area that had lots of nice tropical plants. Plenty of hot water in the shower. Staff all had enough English and were friendly and helpful. The massage and pedicure in the... More

First time visit to Ubud. Couldn't believe how busy this place is. Traffic and Tourists everywhere. Thankfully, the Okawati is an Oasis in all the madness. Old Balinese style grace and charm. Stayed in the Buddha Room overlooking the grounds and pool from the 2nd floor in what is a detached room from the rest of this amazing place. Traditional... More
