This characterful hotel really wins on location, just off Monkey Forest road and easy walking to everywhere in central Ubud - important as Ubud is gridlocked with traffic so much of the time, not only a waste of your holiday time but taxis expensive as a consequence. It is set off the road and very serene, and very pool nice,...

Positives: Location is excellent - just off Monkey Forest Road. The room was clean and comfortable (but small), made up every day, with a nice balcony overlooking the pool area that had lots of nice tropical plants. Plenty of hot water in the shower. Staff all had enough English and were friendly and helpful. The massage and pedicure in the...

First time visit to Ubud. Couldn't believe how busy this place is. Traffic and Tourists everywhere. Thankfully, the Okawati is an Oasis in all the madness. Old Balinese style grace and charm. Stayed in the Buddha Room overlooking the grounds and pool from the 2nd floor in what is a detached room from the rest of this amazing place. Traditional...

The Okawati Hotel and staff are a welcome quiet oasis in the busy city of Ubud. We love the hustle and bustle of Ubud, the great restaurants, shopping and spas, but, coming "home" to Okawati at the end of the day is perfect. The hotel is set among beautiful trees and plants, the pool is cool and inviting after a...

This is my "home away from home" in Ubud. Rooms with character, fantastic staff, breakfast included. This is not a sterile US hotel, but a quaint property with lots of Balinese charm! It is not a 5 star property, but you are not paying for that either. Location...it does not get any better! Right off Monkey Forrest road, but away...

I really wanted to love this hotel. The price was reasonable, the location was convenient and the the pool & garden area was really lovely. Unfortunately the condition of our room wasn't very impressive. There was a fair amount of dust and dirt, and the walls looked like they really could have used a fresh coat of paint. We had...

My daughter and I stayed here for 9 nights in July. It is a small hotel hidden away from the madness of Ubud - an oasis of 15 rooms with a beautiful garden and pool. Location is walking distance from Monkey Forest, lots of restaurants, rice fields, shopping. Our first night we ate dinner (food is served on your terrace...

We had a very nice four stay at Oka Wati Hotel and can definitely recommend it. It's a small family owned hotel very close to Monkey Forest Road and the centre of Ubud. Down a small side street it's quiet and there's a lovely garden with a decent swimming pool. Ms. Oka Wati and the rest of the staff are...

Our family (with 2 kids aged 7 and 10) have just returned this morning from 10 days in a lovely family room at the beautiful Okawati Hotel. Ibu Okawati (the owner) and her staff are very kind and helpful and fun. Just the right balance of helpful when you need it, but giving you space when you need that too....

I only had two nights in Ubud and glad I spent them at Okawati. Made getting around and exploring Ubud so easy. Okay, lugging my bag from where the taxi dropped me off to the hotel was a bit of a hassle - but glad it was more off the street the rest of the trip for noise level -...
