This was my little slice of paradise in Ubud... Putu is so incredibly sweet and kind- the room was lovely and clean- breakfast was awesome (the eggs were my favorite)... The place is down a little alley so it's very peaceful but a quick, easy walk to the main road. There is a safe in the room- both air con... More

Jawi House certainly lived up to its high rating on TripAdvisor. My wife and I, together with our 2 young children stayed there 4 nights. What can I say that has not been said before? I loved it's central location. I loved Putu's genuine hospitality and thoughtfulness. The room was clean and well maintained. I loved the beautiful balcony where... More

We stayed at the Jawi House for four days while visiting Ubud. They have two rooms, but the smaller one wasn't available for the dates that we needed so we took the larger one at a discount after agreeing to use only the ceiling fan. The room is excellent! It was immaculate, spacious, and well-appointed -- mini-fridge, safe box, AC,... More

I'm very glad that I have stayed at Jawi House and echo all the positive comments that have been expressed by other travellers. Both Putu and Jawi are very hospitable and generous and are always around to help answer my questions or to give me a ride. The house is very central and the market/palace/monkey forest are all within walking... More

ATTENTION: 2 comments in 1 as we were moved to another house (Pondok Merta House) in the same street as double booked! As this guesthouse is not on Tripadvisor, I give both results here as it is the SAME Family (but not same person)! A squeaky clean stay amidst nature and greenery, our room at the 'Jawi House and Painters' was so cosy and comfortable, it was awesome. Ours was just a short trip (2-days), but I'd highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great home-stay with warm and prompt hospitality. It'r very centrally located on Monkey Forest Road, too. With all... More

I created a TripAdvisor account just to review how great out stay was. Looking for a beautiful quiet spot in the middle of busy central Ubud? You can't get any better than Putu's home. Her home is located down a beautiful little alleyway smack dab in between the Monkey forrest and the Market. (easy 10 minute walk to both) The... More

I live here with my husband, Ketut, a traditional Balinese artist / painter and our two teenage kids. We take pride in offering the best quality in hospitality to suit your needs and we hope to make your stay in Bali an unforgettable experience. Our home is tucked away down a laneway behind the street front. Access is via our courtyard with a staircase up to level one or two.
