Stay here in April 2011. The villas are clean and traditional and service from staff was flawless. They are not intrusive but always available to help quickly. Stayed in the Galatik room which was clean, great balcony and spacious bedroom and bathroom. Hotel is about 15 minute walk through the Monkey Forest to Ubud centre (Which is busy and noisy...

After looking at the Alam Jiwa website I was determined to stay here and was lucky to get the last room for the first week of April. We stated in Ganesha with a breathtakig view over the rice-fields. The room was even better than the wonderful photos on the website as it was spacious with a beautiful open-air bathroom. Lying...

Alam Jiwa was amazing and beautiful. The people were so nice, friendly and ever so helpful in everything. Never a frown, they smile all the time :) We were given fresh juice and cake at the reception upon arrival. There was a fruit basket in the room - mangosteen, rambutan, mango. We stayed at Ganesa room, which was huge, comfy...

Family of 5 stayed at this wonderful treasure in Ubud. We had the deluxe Manis Casuary room which had a breathtaking view of a rice field from our large balcony and a stream running below us.At night we could see another rice field from our bathroom window and occasionally we would see a firefly light up in the darkness. We...

Great service like breakfast serves on your own balcony. Our room was Garuda and was unbelievable spacious and recently renovated. Alam Jiwa is in the tranquil village Nyuhkuning which we liked more than the busy Ubud; Although the dining places in Ubud are very good (Wayans café and Lotus Garden. A small walk through the Monkey forrest brings you in...

The highlight of our Ubud Trip was the Alam Jiwa Hotel. We stayed in the Jatayu Room for 3 nights from the 31st - 3rd of Feb 2011. The newly constructed room is standalone, like a private villa. It has a huge garden, with water features and ponds, frangipani trees. It was absolutely gorgeous. The room has a patio with...

Escape the crowds at this gorgeous, intimate little hotel an easy 25 minute walk through the Monkey Forest to Ubud (they also offer a free shuttle). We've stayed at places twice the price and the room was better than any of them, plus it had a stunning balcony overlooking the rice paddies. Wonderful service, delicious breakfasts and a gorgeous pool....
