Interesting to say the least. Our first room flooded in a heavy storm on day 1 (it was wet season in January) and we were moved to an upgrade and more modern room. Our family of five was in a two room, two bathroom villa with infinity pool. Beautiful room, beautiful views and great place to see Ubud and surrounding...

This place is in desperate need of maintenance and an upgrade. Bathrooms smell. Stone baths that are mouldy and in desperate need of a pressure wash and good scrub. No wifi in the villas and painfully slow in the lobby area. The restaurant food is not good with the exception of breakfast which is ok only. There are dozens of...

We stayed here for four nights at the beginning of our Bali holiday. The grounds are very impressive, tropical vegetation in a steep deep valley. Our villa seemed typical with private pool and spacious interior, balcony room overlooking the valley, large bathroom, with another outside bath and shower completely secluded. We don't mind walking, but it has to be said...

I stayed at the Payogan in September 2016. I had a villa with a private pool overlooking the mountains. Upon arrival the hospitality was outstanding. All villas are surrounded by luscious gardens and overlooking the mountains of Ubud. Breakfast had everything you could possibly want your taste buds to try. It was that quiet that you could just sit for...

Very nice hotel with 54 villas, most with private swimming pools. Setting is out of this world!!!! Covers quite a large area with scenery that will take your breath away! There is rather nice swimming pool with excellent view, it's hardly ever used and there is a good reason for that - why would you, if you have your own...

Stayed at the Payogan for 3 nights at the end of our bali holiday and what a way to end it! The staff are very friendly and attentive, the reception desk was always available to answer any questions and the hotel itself is stunning to walk around. Our one bedroom pool villa had a bigger room and pool than I...

The hotel has great premises-rooms are huge and comfortable, the private pool is great. The view from private villas top everything up. However the service was very low; it was slow, employees barely spoke English, room cleaning constantly kept "not seeing" dirty glasses. There was only one good receptionist which was very helpful. The furniture in the room could use...

The Payogan was recommended by our travel agent and not having stayed in Ubud previously we had no knowledge of the area. The property sounded great from our research, idyllic location and a villa with a private pool. Unfortunately it fell a long way short of our expectations. The location is beautiful, perched on hillside with views through lush jungle....

Views are amazing, rooms are very nice, best massage I ever had at the spa. Hotel is a few km from anything, they have a shuttle service butfirst thing you should do is hire a scooter. Breakfast was very good as well.

We did not enjoy our stay here. When we arrived we felt interrogated by the man who checked us in, I did not feel comfortable with him at all. Our room lacked any information on what to do in Ubud or what the hotel had to offer- it didn't even have a room service or spa menu. The restaurant was...
