We spent 2 nights here and found it to be very good value. We decided on a standard room after previous recommendations, which although the bathroom was a little dated, was spacious, clean, with lovely traditional Balinese decor. We loved the carved and decorated doors, the view of the rice paddy along with the little touches like a fresh flower...

We booked this hotel based on the comments here in TripAdvisor. We stayed at the Deluxe double which had a beautiful view of the garden, the pool and the rice fields. But had the standard rooms been available we'd have gone for that for half the price. I had my initial peeves-- the reception area needs a lot of work......

My husband and I spent 3 nights at Cendana during our honeymoon in Bali and were very pleased with the value and location of the hotel. It is located right in the heart of Ubud, walkable to everything and very convenient. The hotel itself is set back a bit from the road which keeps it very peaceful and quiet. Our...

I was looking for a moderately priced hotel in a central Ubud position and couldn't have been happier with my choice of hotels - Cendana. Passing through the plain front laneway and reception of the hotel I was delighted, relieved and amazed to see the beautiful aspect at the back of the hotel - a serene infinity pool looking over...

This is a great value for money hotel. We stayed in standard rooms, they were basic but were large and very clean. Each has it's own outside area and most rooms have views onto the rice field. The grounds are lovely with many plants and flowers. The hotel has two pools, we spent most of our time in the salt...

Despite a poor breakfast, the rooms are big with a big bathroom as well. Yet old-fashioned would need a facelift. Quiet location, ideally placed near the monkey forest. View on the ricefield. Very helpful people. Useless to take the superior room, same comfort as the standard (just bigger).

This is a rather late review, being in Bali in Nov 2009. I booked Cendana upon arrival in the Bali Airport. So choice made was first and foremost for the price of 80USD/night for superior room and 50USD/room for standard. It was one of the recommended small hotels in the guidebook so I took it. I wanted to have the...

We booked the Cendana Resort and Spa for a 3 night stay at the end of our holiday after reading reviews on Tripadvisor and looking at their package deals on the internet. The hotel looked more basic than the other hotels we were staying at during our trip but still looked nice, so I ended up booking a 3 night...

I booked the Cendana Resort & Spa after reading reviews from Tripadvisor, the main reason of choice was the central position in Monkey Forest Road . The reviews were mixed so l did not have high expectations. What a pleasant surprise we stayed in the Deluxe Rooms which are further from the main area but close to the infinity pool....

This would be a really nice small hotel with "a-family-run-place" atmosphere, on a good, central Ubud location... if it weren't for the staff who were neither friendly nor competent. We considered prolonging our 3 night stay for 3 additional nights, but the receptionist/manager wanted to charge us double the price we payed previously booking online. They weren't helpful with ordering...
