Stunning property with thatched roofs and stone walls. Our room also had a beautiful balcony overlooking the rice fields. Located in a quieter part of Ubud and walking distance from some very lovely museums, Naughty Nuri's, and spas. Areas of improvement: Staff hospitality at the front desk can be improved substantially. We stayed at another hotel in Bali where the staff were warm and welcoming and when we reached Kori Ubud, the difference was stark, almost an air of indifference. However, in contrast, the room service was flawless to the T. The bathrooms can be better lit as they are fairly large and the lighting isn't sufficient. Overall, a good experience, but the customer service needs at the front desk needs considerable improvement as that's the first and last point of interaction for a guest and leaves a lasting impression.

I enjoyed my recent stay at Kori Ubud. I found it lovely to be outside the busy main area of Ubud, but still easily accessible with a taxi from the resort to town around 50,000 rupiah. The resort also offers a free shuttle at various times during the day. The resort grounds are beautifully maintained with lovely pool areas. The rooms are very clean and beds comfortable. The staff, particularly in the restaurant, were friendly and obliging. Close by restaurant is Indus restaurant - amazing curry, rendang and pandan dessert.

We stayed at the Kori Ubud for three nights while on Bali. The location turned out to be excellent. It's outside of the Ubud hustle-and-bustle, but is just a moderate walk (~25 minutes) or short scooter ride into town. There was an affordable scooter rental and a fantastic day spa right next to the property, which was really convenient for us. The customer service was fine (more on this below), but not to the level of friendliness that we experienced elsewhere on Bali. Overall, the facility had beautiful grounds, but the buildings seemed to be a bit dated. So great location and decent customer service, but just "average" overall? I'll explain. We stayed in three different rooms, one for each night stay. Our first room was a downstairs superior (e.g. king bed) room. It was not particularly clean, seemed old, and had a semi-musky smell. Nothing terrible, but for the price (~$60 USD/night) we were not stoked. On our second night, we woke up around 1 AM to something - I'm speculating, but I think it was a rat - scurrying through the annular space between the floor above and our ceiling. I understand that the property borders a tropical jungle and that keeping animals out is near impossible. But again, for the price it's not something we should have to deal with. We approached the front desk and they didn't seem too alarmed, but offered to move us to a different room with two twin beds. Again, the customer service was fine, but nothing to write home about. The room they moved us to was worse than the original. It was older and muskier with a loud AC unit and a toilet that ran all night. It was not a good night of sleep. In the morning, we brought these issues to their attention and were moved to a third room. This one was an upstairs superior room and it was...excellent. The room was clearly newer, definitely cleaner, and very comfortable. Had we gotten this room for all three nights, I'd probably be leaving a 4 or 5 star rating here. So, the main takeaway here is to make sure if you decide to stay here, you explicitly request a newer, upstairs room. Hopefully this helps others avoid the inconveniences that we experienced. Safe travels!

My daughter and I stayed here for 3 nights. Couldn’t speak more highly of the staff, so friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and spacious and was overlooking a beautiful pool. The gardens are just glorious and the two pools sparkling clean. The spa is very good with lots of different treatments.
