Stayed here with my family of 3 adults 2 kids (11 yrs) for 3 nights. Its a very centrally located hotel right next to monkey forest so you will get monkeys running across your balcony and seeing them scamper across the roof tops or trees all the time. Hotel staff will advise guests to not leave food items on the balconies and always close the doors.
My kids like to spot the monkeys every morning they wake up.
Hotel reception and staff at the restaurant as well as anyone we met are always smiling and ready to help. Service here is def a thumbs up. Thats the winning point.
Rooms however a rather dated and old. Housekeeping did a great job keeping the rooms clean daily. I booked interconnecting rooms for my group.
My comment with the rooms is that the bed is noisy. Whenever we moved , got up etc the wooden platform bed will creak.
Its an old fashioned lock and key for the rooms with big wooden key chains so most times when we left, we will leave the keys with reception.
The pool is very nice too. The hotel isnt big so the pool is not vast but my kids love splashing around in it. The hotel staff also helped inflate our donut floaty.
This hotel has a great location being very near to restaurants, cafes( like pison) , super market and also a pharmacy all within 3 to 5 min walking distance.
Def recommend for peeps coming to ubud and want a place convenient.

We are very happy with our stay here. We came from a bad experience hotel so this was a welcome relief. We were upgraded to a better room which was not asked for but very welcome. The staff and office manager made us feel like royalty and our son just thought the world of the place. The food was very good and we split our time 50/50 from eating out and eating in with room service as the food outside of the hotel was just as good as in both in quality and price.

We were provided a complimentary free dinner or lunch for the whole family and the food was great. Rooms were fitted out very nicely and had everything you would need. Staff knocked on the door everyday to see if you wanted any of the items restocked such as free water etc.

We would be really picky to have any faults but if we did these are the only ones.

Pool - very cold and does not get a lot of sun so it wasn’t the type of place that people spent all day by the pool.

Noise - walls between rooms carry noise very easily and when people are in the pool it can be very noisy in the room.

Massage - don’t bother with an in house massage, there are better out in Ubud I would say.

We would definitely stay here again without doubt. Very close to everything and we did not need to get a taxi or pay to go anywhere. Complimentary free shuttle from the hotel to the shopping district every couple of hours.

Loved it and well priced. Well done Anumana.

This is the second time we've stayed at Anumana, and it is feeling like our second home. It's the perfect location for exploring the beautiful Ubud, there's an array of restaurants, cafes and warungs on your doorstep, and all the other amenities you could need in short walking distance (convenience store, supermarket, book shop, massages, little shops for clothes and souvenirs etc). The rooms at Anumana are great too, we stayed in a Lagoon Access room this time (had a room on the top floor previously). I would definitely recommend the lagoon access, it was such a nice convenience to be able to walk straight into the pool or use a lounger, and then straight back to your room to dry off without having to walk through corridors etc. The beds are so comfy, and the rooms are very spacious. We had an extra bed added to accommodate our 4 year old, and there was still enough room to comfortably move around and feel relaxed in the space. The restaurant has an amazing menu, and offer different entertainment on various nights of the week. I don't know if they are regularly scheduled, but while we were there on the Thursday night there was a traditional perfomance that was accompanied by a set menu, then on the Saturday night there was a Barong performance and a dance with fans that also came with a set menu (which was delicious), and finally on the Tuesday night there was a live music set with an acoustic guitar. The sound of these performances does travel a little bit to the rooms, but even with a room close to the front of the hotel it wasn't ever so loud that it disrupted sleep and it also didn't go too late. Since our last trip to Anumana, the restaurant menu has been updated and there are some huge improvements- definitely try the Sirloin steak. The included breakfast is also really nice, it is prepared a la carte rather than a buffet, which is great because you can go from something quite different each morning if you like. Eggs benedict, pancakes, french toast, porridge, breakfast burrito, scrambled eggs, tofu scramble, smashed avo, bakery basket... all great options, you can't go wrong.

A huge thank you to the wonderful staff at Anumana. While the hotel, rooms, and restaurant are lovely, the staff are why we will keep coming back. They are so thoughtful, helpful, friendly. They remembered all our names every day and made my son feel special at every chance.

Was excited to stay here as we had booked a plunge pool room as part of our honeymoon trip. Unfortunately due to the adjoining door between rooms and the way the building has been made, we were kept up all night each night by the pipes, the minibar fan every hour and especially our neighbours talking in their room. On the first night, we both woke up thinking there was someone in our room! Guests should be able to talk in their room without being heard next door...

Breakfast is poor, apart from the egg station. A lot of luke-warm meats and ok pastries. Poor coffee as well. We ended up going to Suka Espresso on the last morning as we had eaten lunch there before and it was much nicer!

Staff very kind and attentive, when we told them about the problems we had, they provided a driver to our next accommodation for free, which was very much appreciated!

The hotel is well located for Ubud, you can get anywhere in about 10 mins walk and the monkey forest is literally on the doorstep and lots of cool places nearby, however I wouldn’t recommend this hotel if you’re looking for a decent nights sleep!

We very much enjoyed our stay here. The location is excellent for restaurants, spas shopping. The hotel staff all lovely. Breakfast was freshly cooked each morning, this was much appreciated. The restaurant is good. we listened to live music there one night.. Great clean pool. We liked our room, it was a decent size for the 2 of us.
The hotel is right next door to the monkey forest so the monkeys go on the verandas especially early in the morning. To avoid this book ground floor with pool access as they don't usually go there. We were on floor 3 and experienced the monkeys on the verandah. Monkeys are not that worried about people and look for food. In saying that monkeys are everywhere in Ubud.

We had an amazing 4 night stay at this beautiful hotel. The staff went above and beyond to ensure we were accommodated for and felt welcome. The pool area is beautiful and relaxing - you almost forget you are in the busy area of Ubud! The breakfast is excellent - my husband has an egg and milk allergy and although breakfast is a set menu they always accommodated to his dietary needs. I had a fantastic Balinese massage followed by a scrub which was so relaxing. We also booked taxis through the hotel which was hassle free. When we arrived we were greeted with a beautiful bed spray and fresh fruit to celebrate our honeymoon which is a testament to welcoming nature of this resort! The hotel is walking distance to the centre and we made many day trips from here so it is also a great ‘base’ to travel from. We also used the restaurant for dinner and the food is amazing. We cannot thank the staff enough for our wonderful stay - we fell in love with Bali after visiting Ubud so we look forward to returning! Thank you so much.

We stayed here for the final 5 nights of a two week trip to Bali for our honeymoon in a deluxe room with plunge pool. Our room was nicely decorated, big and kept really clean although it could use a bit more storage to be able to unpack your things. The plunge pool was much bigger than expected and we also enjoyed the main pool area. The food was really nice and we enjoyed everything we tried, both breakfast and the main menu. We also particularly enjoyed the cocktails on the happy hour - the dragon fruit mojito is our new favourite! The location is really great and very central, it's easy to walk to most places.

All of the staff were absolutely amazing and could not do enough for you. They organised some great trips for us and we particularly enjoyed our full day tour with Ivan who was so friendly and knowledgeable. We also did a cooking class with Arif the chef which was great, it was set up just for the two of us next to the pool area and then we got to enjoy the food in the restaurant - would definitely recommend doing this!

my friend and I led two larger groups (15 and 20 ppl) to Bali for a meditation, yoga and spiritual retreat. 5 of the 12 days we stayed at Anumana hotel with the group.
Let me start with the accommodations: Centered in Ubud and close to shopping, restaurants, and the monkey forest. Ubud can get busy with traffic, thus being in between it all made it much easier to get around walking and taxis. The rooms were clean, beds and pillow comfortable, Air con worked well and bathrooms had good water pressure. We had great space with a beautiful view on the top of the hotel for yoga classes every morning and evening. They set it up for us beautifully with water, mats and towels. Even though we were in the middle of town there was very little noise on top of the hotel where we practiced with beautiful views of paddy field and nature. Also, even though we had a larger group the hotel was not huge and more like a boutique hotel which we loved. More intimate.
The swimming pool was refreshing, quiet and fun to just hang out in a place with sun or shade. Perfect for the break of running around.
Employees: EVERYONE was so helpful here.. from the General manager, to the manager, front desk, housekeeping, waiters/waitresses and cooks.. They made us feel like they were working to make our experience and happiness number one! Anytime we asked for help they quickly obliged.. Food was yummy and the breakfast that was a part of our room was huge = fresh fruit, coffee, cereal or eggs, toast and other options. Again, food for vegetarians and non vegetarians.

We do plan on taking groups to Bali again and again over the years and I cannot imagine staying anywhere else..

Thank you Thank you Thank you.. Matur Suksuma.

Loved our stay at Anumana Ubud. Great location with an excellent selection of shops and restaurants within walking distance. If you don't feel like straying from the hotel the onsite restaurant has tasty food and friendly service that can be enjoyed while you watch cheeky monkeys scale the rooftops. Our pool access room was comfy, clean and serviced twice daily. Use of the "convenience room" was much appreciated with our late airport departure. Thank you to all staff for ensuring a lovely stay.

The Anumana Hotel was the perfect place to start our tour of Bali. It is located in the heart of Ubud with an abundance of activities and shopping right outside their door.

The hotel staff from reception to housekeeping to restaurant personnel were all professional, helpful, and friendly. The room was comfortable and clean with a small refrigerator and safe. We even had a balcony overlooking the spacious pool! The food from the restaurant was good and the chef accommodated different diets and requests.

We would’ve loved having more shelving and/or drawers to fully unpack, but that is a minor complaint. Also, a better quality shampoo/conditioner would’ve been nice, but we used our own.

We would highly recommend the Anumana to anyone wishing to stay in the heart of Ubud!
