I stayed here for 6 nights in July. The location is ideal and the centre of Ubud is easily accessed by a track that borders Monkey Farm. We were given welcome juice on our arrival and through -out our stay we found the staff to be very warm and helpful. Breakfast is typical Indonesian hotel/guest-house fare - juices, coffee, fruit,...

A cheap, lovely little hotel a short walk to monkey forest and ubud cbd. Rooms were unauthodox, with outdoor toilets and large padlocks as door keys, but this gave the place a unique feel to it. The local blokes (employees) sitting at the front of the hotel are fun to chat to, one of few people I met in Bali...

stayed here as a group of friends, originally booked for 4 nights and ended up leaving after 1. The bedroom was clean , however the whole place needs serious refurbishments done. The outdoor bathroom is tired and looks dirty, the light switches were black with dirt. The pool was unusable and had suspicious looking cloudy patches and all the chairs...

Arrived late in the evening and was a bit worried about the cave-ish smell and also the rather massive ant infestation in the bungalow. We asked for a new house and was upgraded without problems, a slight fee was charged tho. The hotel has a lot of charme but needs a shine-up.

It's set in a nice spot the other side of the monkey forest around a 10 walk to Ubud. Rooms are traditional, spacious and have a lovely balcony or terrace. Bathrooms are a bit old and a little grubby but otherwise I found the place charming and staff friendly. There's a small pool and nice communal area

First of all - you get what you pay for. For $40 CDN a night (including breakfast, free wifi, A/C) I found this place to be of excellent value! Our room was spacious with a large balcony. Fan and air con. Shower and bathtub. Mini fridge and closet. Cleaned everyday and done up with fresh flowers. The location is good....

We stayed here for a couple of nights and found it ideal. The room was spacious and clean over two levels with a basic kitchen and living area downstairs. The upstairs balcony would be unsafe for children but was fine for us. Big comfortable bed. The bathroom was also big, no shower curtain as has been mentioned in previous reviews...

I learnt fairly quickly that I have to ask for the things I want to make my stay at Garden View Cottages more pleasant. Travelling alone, I'm on a budget and I booked this hotel due to its proximity to the Monkey Forest, free wifi in the room and pool. Not that I planned to go into the Forest, but...

As a young couple needing a cheap escape this was perfect for us. The shower was working with hot water and thats all we wanted! The air conditioner was great and the hotel in a quiet street away from the motorbike noise of the main streets. Fresh towels and flowers everyday with a great view. The hotel is very quiet...

I stayed at Garden view because I like this area of Ubud, but truthfully the places I really wanted to be were booked. This is an OK hotel. It could be a lot better if only the bathrooms were up to standard. The staff are all really lovely and friendly, and seem to enjoy their jobs. The hotel is older,...
