This hotel is located near the Samator office.
Building exterior was full of glass so it provides a luxurious design.
Hotel interior such as lobby and pool was designed neatly and big enough so it provides much space.
The room interior gives an elegant feel.
The floor is covered by carpet, the space feels just right, the lighting gives a relaxing ambience, the air conditioner works perfectly and it doesn't need a card to be inserted to keep the electricity on, so you can leave your room with AC, TV, lights and your phone charged in the room. Though it's better to save energy by leaving the lights off.
The bathroom was also spacey and comfortable, there's a wall separator between shower, wastafel, and toilet.
The bathroom has a see-through glass you can opt to cover by lowering the curtains.
Food was also quite tasty though some are not.
Room service menu is quite pricey for me, such as a 80k fried rice and 70k soto ayam.

Some disappointing things are that there's no connecting lift from the car parking area to the main lobby or rooms.
You have to walk up from the parking area to go to the lobby, and you can only access the room from the lifts in lobby.
And there was also no power outlet in the bathroom (though hairdryer is provided but it was already wall mounted), so if you want to use your own hair styling tool you might find another outlet in the bedroom area which there was no mirror. So I use my phone for styling in the desk.

Overall the place, service and ambience are all great.
Will definitely recommend and revisit.

It was good to be back and stay in a familiar hotel like Novotel Samator Surabaya Timur. I decided to stay in this hotel last December prior to continue our journey to Bali. We all stayed 3 nights, 2 nights before our trip to Bali and 1 night once we return back from Bali.

During our 2 nights stay, the hotel signed a suite room in 21st floor (Room # 2105). There were 3 elevators in the hotel that would take us to the room. In order to reach our room, we had to use the last elevator in the row (the right hand side if we face the elevator) that will take us to Room in 20th floor and/or higher. Their suite room was truly our favorite since we could have more space for our nephews.

Our room was big and spacious : It was clean and well maintained. It has a large bathroom complete with separate area for shower and closet (their shower area is probably the biggest one I had seen in my life). There was a nice bathtub as well. During our 2nd stay (1 night), however, we stayed in a deluxe room but I forgot our room # but it was located in the same 21st floor (located in the opposite end as our suite room.

Breakfast was of good quality : Breakfast spread was good and many of them were delicious (they even provided different cheese in their fridge which was a big plus). Overall, based on my recent stay in this hotel, I would comfortably give them a 4 stars rating and I do hope this will give a strong motivation to P. Chairuddin & his team to keep up such a good work for many years ahead.

We booked 2 nights for our 2nd getaway leisure stay at Novotel Samator East Surabaya. The hotel rate is higher than our 1st stay back in November 2020, even for the lowest rate that comes with no breakfast for the Superior room. The service during check-in and check-out are faster now. We were given room 616, which was not completely cleaned as we noticed there was a leftover mineral water bottle in the mini fridge. The room and facilities are great, except that it had a slight smell of cigarettes (probably because it was functioned as a smoking room before) and also the toilet plumbing was leaking quite bad. The location is excellent, as we can explore some culinary options around MERR area nearby the hotel without worrying about the car parking as it is very spacious and free of charge for hotel guests. We also enjoyed the gym and the swimming pool, which now already equipped with a small roof around it to protect us from direct sunlight. The minus point is the crowded hotel lifts, but they already activated all 3 available lifts so not much can be done to resolve this issue (unless they plan to build more lifts in the future).

The facility and food is good except the staff lack a bit of attentiveness. My 2 nights stay is rather disappointing. First I made a confirmed reservation for a non-smoking room and they informed me my room had been taken up due to groups booking, without offering any solution. I have to pay for an room upgrade to have a non-smoking room. Next, I saw the brochure for a pool side BBQ buffet dinner. I made an advance reservation and again was declined as the reservation was full due to again, big group reservation.

Thank you for Novotel Samator hospitality, I did enjoy during my 2nd stay in here also they indeed recognize their member loyalty while stay here. Room was spacious and in the corner room, welcome amenities was perfect. I did enjoy room and my breakfast.

Few things need to improve I hope for my next stay i.e. :
1. Please make sure a towel on wash basin did not have a stain, I saw one of it.
2. During breakfast I hope kitchen staff could remind guest to wear mask or wear it properly while they queue for food serving because I saw 2 person did not wear mask and wear it properly and talking with food serving staff while choose their food (This just my suggestion because this for ours own good during pandemic).

Pros :
1. Quick check in, helpful receptionist. I accidentally left my ID and member card and they sent it to my room.
2. First impression when i entered the room : it was Ok, nice room, quite spacious
3. The AC was freezing but it's OK
4. Wifi was OK
5. Hot water was OK

Cons :
1. I found a piece of french fries hidden inside some decoration in the desk and I also found used tissue hidden in the sofa. And when I turned over a pillow, there was little stain on the sheets.
2. They charged me for delivering food that I ordered outside by online apps so I had to go down and get it myself.
3. No small towel and tissue paper on sink area.
4. Shower area quite slippery

I stayed at the Novotel Samator Hotel last weekend
I made an order via the ALL Accor Live Limitless application, and upgraded my room to Suites

The day before, I contacted the hotel and was assisted by the Hotel Guest Relations, namely Mas Angga. Mas Angga really helped me a lot, starting from explaining what facilities I would get, hotel cleanliness standards during the pandemic, check in check out time (because I am an ALL member, I asked for more flexible time) etc.
Oh yes, at that time I made a special request to the hotel, and asked to prepare a surprise for my pregnant wife.
Mas Angga assisted and prepared a very extraordinary surprise. I say many thanks to Novotel Samator Hotel Surabaya, especially to Mas Angga who was amazing in helping me and my family stay there.

The hotel is very good, extraordinary, the facilities are quite good, the food is delicious

Novotel Samator is a new modern hotel strategically located near MERR in East Surabaya. We received a special Accor member rate for our booking to stay in the Superior room in here. Upon checked-in, the receptionist offered us an upgrade to a Deluxe room. The in-room facilities are clean and superb. The variety of breakfast is offered following a thorough safe and health protocol. We also enjoyed swimming in the pool, although we think that it's better if the pool area can have some big umbrellas to cover some couches from direct sunlight. The toilet's sewage in the pool area was clogged and should be clean more often. The 3rd elevator should be activated during peak hours on Sunday morning. Slight improvement is also needed in terms of staff proactiveness, even though most of them are already friendly. Free overnight parking is provided for 1 car, but need to carefully ensure to exit the parking area only from the 3rd gate nearby the entrance gate. Overall, it was a very good short stay for us and we hope the hotel is already improved when we return to stay in the future.

In the midst of the current pandemic conditions, it is very safe and comfortable to live in a novotel because hotels are always regularly disinfected and antimicrobial protection is also installed in a place that is always touched by the public. This hotel is really implementing health protocols and also the staff are amazing. Thanks for the great service, I will come back for sure.

I stay with family for family holiday and this is our repeat stay. Room is clean, modern, but in the bottom of sofa, I find many dust, like no clean up. breakfast is various menu.
I recommend not stay in low floor (5,6,7,8,9,10) up and near swimming pool, cause in evening, they have live music/bar music that sound is loudly and still hear from your room aand I cannot sleep well when stay in this room ( last my stay get room No.715)

Jika mau reservasi tanpa menggunakan kartu kredit, bisa coba u/ menghubungi hotel langsung. Setahu kami, semua reservasi akan di hold sampai jam 6 sore di tanggal kedatangan tamu. Hal ini berlaku berdasarkan standar internasional tapi harus di check ulang saat melakukan reservasi di hotel tersebut.
