First of all, the location is at the city center, at the heart of Surabaya thus close to most of business spots . Secondly, it is classic but well maintained with great heroic stories behind. Third big plus : the service is just excellent, the staffs are friendly and professional. Last but not least, the room is great..spacious with classic...

A beautiful Colonial Era hotel with a classic design & furnishings yet modern conveniences. This place has loads of character. You can easily imagine what Expat life was like in the early 1900's in Surabaya. Beautiful gardens, comfortable rooms, and unique lobby and function rooms. Definitely worth a visit and a stay.

stayed in majapahit though was on a business trip and my usual hotel is always the sheraton. the checkin was pretty smooth - in general you can get away with a lot of attention as i was one of the only guests on the property - the hotel lush lawns and property takes you back to the colonial era! rooms...

This is the most historic hotel in Surabaya. For those people who love antique things, this is definitely a must! Even the lamp button is made of brass with cute little stick to turn it on / off. The garden is pretty and often used for photo background. The staffs are professional and very helpful. My only drawback is that...

I am sure I am choosing the title as above because apart from high standard of service of a good hotel, it has rich character. This hotel is a museum itself. Being an antique hotel, the room is big, comfortable and pleasant. The garden is perfectly maintained with well trimmed lawn and trees, providing shade, peace and calm. Big swimming...

Fantastic! Well what can I say the check in was fast and efficient. Front office was very professional we opted to upgrade for a suite and were charged a reasonable 250 K rupiah per night. Very helpful and courteous staff cannot find any faults. Restaurant was small but had a good choice of breakfast. The hotel is in a renovated...

Located at the very center of the city, this Hotel really stands out from the crowd. This building was actually built in 1910 & was used by the Dutch colonial days as a military barracks.Even though the building itself is quite old, but the hotel facilities are modern & well maintained. The room was quite cozy & romantic, with classic...

I truly can't explain why did Mandarin oriental give up this hotel. Luxury wise it might fall a little for it's standard but as for hospitality experience this hotel is world class, i could easily see Peninsula or Waldorf Astoria take over this hotel. Nothing else to add: In a mediocre city such as Surabaya, Stay at Majapahit hotel. It...
