This is a simple homestay which is a very good base for climbing Mount Kelimutu and to see the sunrise in the lakes of 3 colors of Kelimutu. Some room keys did not work so choose another room if you are given one such a room.

We had planned to stay in Moni for several days, so we took some time to walk through the village and check several places. We ended up in Hidaya, because it was the last in the village, and it was not different from the rest. We departed after two days, even if the landscape is attractive. One room, with a...

Brian runs this place is a really friendly guy. We stayed for two nights in a comfortable room with a hot shower. Breakfast was tasty and he arranged for us to have a lift up to Kelimutu the next morning to see the lakes. We also joined him for a birthday party for his daughters which was lots of fun.

Bear in mind that accommodation in Moni is simple B&B style and our guide advised us that there is currently no WiFi at any accommodation in Moni - this is certainly true for Hidayah. We stayed for one night and found the room to be clean and spacious and our hosts were warm and friendly. The bathroom in particular was...

We stayed one night in Moni to visit the vulcano (which, due to bad weather, we unfortunately didn't see), and it was nice to stay in Brian's homestay. The property has four rooms with a nice veranda opposite Brian's house. The rooms are big, but sparsely furnished. The bed however sleeps okay. The bathroom is huge but basic. Hot water...

The owner Mateo was really friendly and the room was large and clean. We stayed one night longer than first planned because he helped us a lot to discover the surrounding area (like a beautiful waterfall or hot springs in the center of rice fields). He first picked us up in Ende and brought us to Moni for a very...

I stayed here for one night. My room was very comfortable with a big bed and hot shower. Air con is not necessary because of the cool temperatures in Moni. Staff was friendly and welcoming. I got a welcome drink on arrival and delicious breakfast in the morning. Keep in mind that in general the accommodation standards in Flores are...

Don't stay here, and definitely don't arrange ojeks here!! We tried to book two ojeks to Kelimutu from Hidaya, the staff appeared to be friendly and we agreed with a reasonable price. We paid him 50% deposit and he asked us to wait there at 4.30am the next morning. We wanted a receipt of sth, but he said "don't worry,...

We stayed in the new bungalow/rooms that have been built and while they were not finished, we found Moni to be one of the highlights of our trip. The people in this small village are what makes this place special. The view over the rice paddies and the village people just going about their farming life as you sip on...
