We loved everything about this hotel from the welcome, the cleanliness and comfort of the bedroom, the pool and gardens and the food. Most of all we remember the smile and attention of all staff which was genuine as they really wanted our stay to be happy. We would advise other people to visit this hotel.

We thank you greatly for your comments as it reflects all what we believe in training our staff, namely, the guests we have are special people who have spent time and their precious funds to get to our lodges. Thus they must be looked after to the best of our ability. Thank you for your support.

I first discovered this lodge through No Roads Expedition in March 2014. As a solo traveler, it was a welcome and delightful respite after four days of kayaking and camping. So I returned with family in tow, six of us ages 21, 24, 24, 26 and me 58 and my wife who is ageless. We stayed for six days arriving...

Thank you for this wonderful write up about our Bajo Komodo Eco Lodge. You have highlighted what we believe is one of the strong points of our company, namely the use only of local people who can really look after our guests. We also hope that our guests gain long term friendships with Indonesians and go home with a positive...

After our visit to Rimba Orangutan Ecolodge in Borneo, we stayed 6 nights at the Bajo Komodo Ecolodge in Flores. There was a very nice swimming pool in beautiful tropical gardens; the room was comfortable and clean; the lounge and dining room were attractively decorated, and the food was terrific, as in the other Ecolodges we stayed at in Indonesia....

We stayed three nights in this hotel during our trip to Flores. Labuan Bajo is a small town on the western tip of Flores. Tourism is in full development and that goes a bit at the cost of authenticity. Countless shops that all sell the same knick knacks, restaurants where burgers, pizzas and pastas are a bit too expensive and...

Thank you for your very full report giving some tips on management. We do have a weekly clean up on our part of the beach and maybe this should be increased to twice a week, No excuse at all for our restaurant not having a proper choice (pure idleness) and we agree that the bathrooms in Rooms 1 - 6...

First of let me start by saying there are limited hotel options in/near Labuan Bajo. But you are here to explore Komodo and nature - so maybe who care... And yes Flores and Komodo are truly amazing. Overall Bajo Eco Lodge was not abad option. You have to set your expectations, this is not a luxury resort (no place in...

Reference your report on our lodge. Your negative remarks re our garden may not have taken into consideration that half is covered long alang alang grass on purpose to conserve the vital habitat of the Lesser Coucal. This gives the impression of an unkempt garden which many other guests find quite beautiful

The Eco Lodge is a 5 minute drive to the south of Labuan Bajo, set in a quiet area away from the busy little town and has a view over the bay to the north west. We stayed here for two nights at the beginning and end of a No Roads kayaking tour, which is one of the best things...

Thank you for your accurate report about our lodge. We agree, we are not a beach lodge as the sea in front of us is not conducive for swimming and the beach often contains rubbish in from Labuan Bajo. However inside our grounds is paradise. Thank you

We stayed in the Bajo Komodo Eco Lodge in september. We loved it! The room was really spatious, clean and light, with a good bed and nice cold/hot water shower. We had both airconditioning and a blower on the ceiling. There's a nice swimming pool, that we had all to ourselves multiple times. Breakfast is included and they also have...

One of Eco Safari Lodges nicest properties and great place to stay with the harbour a short drive away. The staff were helpful and friendly and our room was bright, airy and clean. We had everything we needed, air-conditioning, fan, hot water and wifi. Wished we could have stayed longer and will definitely be back.

The Bajo Komodo Eco Lodge, designed and built by Meryl Wilson, was opened in 2002. It was the first hotel in Labuan Bajo to have a swimming pool and rooms with attached bathroom and hot water. It has been chosen as one of the special ecolodges in the world. The lodge follows all the key eco principles of the company. The lodge is a good stepping stone to the Komodo islands and also to access some of the most diverse diving and snorkeling sites in the world. It is also the start of The Trans Flores Safari accross Flores to our sister lodge in the east near the mystical crater lakes of Kelimutu.Like all our lodges, it has beautiful gardens, which include a Coucal breeding area. ... more   less
