Outside of the busy city of Taos, nestled in an organic garden and surrounded by restaurants, galleries and unbelievable beauty, this was a surprising find. This is a hostel so you can share a room, have a private ensuite room in the main lodge, or sleep in a teepee, or even pitch a tent. There is kitchen usage and communal...

I spent four nights at the snow mansion hostel in late August. From the moment I walked in I felt welcome and included by the great group of young people who were staying and working at the hostel. My reservation was actually for only two nights but I decided to stay on longer since I was having such a great...

We have been on the road four weeks by the time we rolled into Taos. We didn't want to pay 3 star prices for 1 star accommodations in Taos, so we decided to do something different and try the hostel. So glad we did. Very peaceful, good vibes from fellow guests. The staff are knowledgeable and welcoming. My kids loved...

This was such an experience! We stayed on a couple mattresses inside the teepee. Perfect outdoor sleeping weather. Plenty of blankets as it does get cold even in August. Amazing views of the sky, especially with the full moon. Staff was friendly and into the self-sustaining lifestyle. Great sense of community and we enjoyed hanging out with the group by...

I have stayed twice now at snow mansion when visiting Taos and Arroyo Seco and i can positively say that both times were absolutely unique and wonderful. The hostel is located on a gorgeous piece of land nestled at the bottom of the grand Taos mountain. The property is covered with lush gardens for you to freely explore and pick...

Stayed at campsite over July 4th weekend with a couple of friends. Camp site was in a nice grassy area with views of mountains, perfect flat areas for doing morning yoga. Owner herself will join you and show you some poses! Loved the communal areas and relaxed vibe as well:) Great location with a short drive to Taos, but tucked...

The SnowMansion was an unexepected pleasure! I stayed in a private room that was huge - a queen sized bed and eight bunkbeds, a table and chairs, a bathroom and separate shower. Don't expect matchy matchy bed linens and curtains; think a random collection of blankets and sheets that appear to have been collected over time. The room did not...

We decided to make a trip around the enchanted circle and booked the Snowmansion for a night. The people were really nice and we had no issue checking in. It's a little old and rundown, but I've definitely seen worse. The place is really set towards college kids. The best thing is it is real close to the Taos Ski...

In Buddhism, there are three types of Gratitude. The first is the one you feel to someone who opened doors for you. The second one is the one you feel to someone you would leave your kids with. The third one is the one you feel for someone who changed your life, completely and deeply. If I am Mother Earth...

From the moment I called to make a reservation, I knew this was the right choice! The owner was incredibly helpful on the phone, answered all of my questions and never seemed in a rush. We stayed in one of the 4 tipis. They are super basic (maybe slightly overpriced-that's my only minor complaint, guess in a hostel you're paying...
