After a day of activities "up North", it's great to have a hotel like Lavi with a high level of kashrus to retire to in the evening. We made our reservation ahead of time via Artzeinu tours (also highly recommended), smooth quick check-in from friendly staff that speak at least Hebrew and English. If you still have energy, pool hours in the evening include for men, women, and family (mixed). Buffet dinner with a variety of meat, fish, and vegetarian options - and tasty! Dairy and vegetarian breakfast. Shul. Tour advisor gave us a great recommendation for a quick stop on our way home.

We were invited as part of a 120 person wedding weekend affair (known as sheva brachot). The group booked their own dining room, which is crucial with so many people. We saw another group had booked another private dining room for the 70th wedding anniversary of a couple. The service in these private rooms is excellent as well is the food. AC could have been a bit stronger since people were complaining and we had to open the doors to the garden to get in fresh air.

Our room was clean and spacious with a couch. The room has an empty minibar which was cold. Our room opened up to a private garden. The hallway carpet is worn and in desperate need of a good steam cleaning, which should have been done while the hotel was closed for Covid-19 and not now when they have 100% capacity. AC was good and powerful. Blackout drapes did their job.

The shower is located inside a bathtub and no rubber mat is provided although they do provide a cup and basin for traditional washing of hands in the morning.

All in all an excellent hotel for a bug family get-together or similar affair.

We enjoyed the great accommodations as well as plentiful food in a scenic location. The room was very clean too. We needed a place to relax for a few days near Tiberias & this was the right choice for us.

First of all the hotel is classified as "Purple Badge" in Israel ministry of health each means the hotel meets the Covid-19 guidelines, like wearing mask, gloves and other guidelines. Well what I saw was violation of this guidelines by the hotel staff .
Nevertheless the hotel is not clean at all!!! The room I got was filthy with dust and human hair all other, the bathroom smells like public "wall peeing". HORRIBLE FOOD!

The folks at in the kibbutz work very hard to give you a lovely experience.  Nice rooms,  plenty of food, one of the very few pure kibbutzim left in Israel (most have plrivatized) that you can walk around in (think moo, flowers, furniture factory), a built- in synagogue, meeting rooms, external tours available, and a terrific location in the Galil (Galilee) near Tiberius. It ain't the Waldorf, but really nice.

When our travel group was there for (only!) two nights in May 2022, it was buzzing with both Israeli and foreign tourists.  I saw only happy faces.

I am not sure what hotel these other reviewers were staying, but this was the absolute worst hotel I have ever stayed. The rooms and I say rooms, because we had 5 different rooms before one was even remotely acceptable. The amount of filth was overwhelming. We asked that the room be cleaned as we were going to be out all the next day, we came back, it was still dirty. The staff tried to be accomdating, by saying they understood, but from what I saw everything was dirty. I do understand rooms being outdated, but what I do not understand is literal delapidation, threadbare towels with stains and pubic hair and wrappers on the floors, not to mention lampshades covered with splatters. (pics below)
The food in the dinning hall was terrible, no fresh fruits which are absolutely abundant in Israel. We were served the same awful food both nights we were there, and the breakfasts which are usally amazing in Israel were deplorable( Basically indedible, good thing we packed snacks). For a country that has about a zillion orange groves they served some sort of orange drink from a machine.
Shame on you, you have a captive audience...

We spent Shabbos in the Kibbutz Lavi Hotel and our experience was excellent. The hotel is Clean and neat. The rooms were cleaner than some pricier higher rated hotels. Service was always helpful and with a smile. Food was very solid. We very much enjoyed the walking tour of the kibbutz. This hotel is excellent for couples or families. We upgraded our room to a room with a balcony and view and found it was well worth it. Room had a refrigerator the room also had coffee and tea and the hotel even delivered water and cookies for Shabbos.
The buts or cons
This rating is based on a high QPR there is a lot of value here and the hotel is nice and clean but don't be looking for a Ritz Carlton like experience. You are the bellboy to carry your bags and the blow dryer is from the early days of the state of Israel. The rooms are a little tired.
Two important notes.
1) Our rooms was at the end of the hallway and had no internet. When we walked down the hall we had excellent internet. If you need a good connection I would verify with the hotel in advance that the room has a good connection
2) The hotel was very full for Shabbos yet by Sunday morning almost all of the weekend guests had left and there was no Minyan in the hotel Shul (Im sure there was one on the Kibbutz itself) so if you need a minyan I would also speak to the hotel.
To reiterate. Clean Rooms, good food, good service. Would definitely stay again and recommend.

Disgusting place, not clean at all. The food is horrible. In conclusion not worth the price which is already unjustified. The hotel staff does not wear masks and gloves. It takes a lot of time to get to the dining room. There is almost nothing to eat in the hotel bar. There is a bad smell in the rooms.

Complete lack of food hygiene.. Flies flying around dining room and landing on food. So far, 2 of my children have thrown up. Exact same thing happened to us December 2018 and nothing was done by the hotel management. Won't be recommending this hotel to anyone...
A picture of a fly sinking into a yogurt we were eating in your dining room.
On Thursday night, 26 December 2019 some desserts and serving utencil fell on the floor. They were immediately returned to the dessert buffet.
Do these facts above comply to Israeli food and hygiene standards? Absolutely not

The staff was very nice, the rooms were set up perfectly for us and our children (ages 10months - 8years)
The food was delicious - everyone found lots of options they liked whether hot dogs for the kids or ravioli for the parents. The kids all found healthy food they liked too and the ladies were thrilled with the selection of salads.
The kids' play room came in very handy when they were all ready to rumble at 7am!
There's a great playground for the kids and an exercise park for the older ones.
We all enjoyed the guided walking tour of the kibbutz, especially the goats and cows. We had everything we needed! From cold drinks on the huge patio to a crib for the baby.
The showers were great, the bathrooms looked like new!
And the other guests were all really nice, whether they were more or less religious than we are.
The scenery is spectacular! Don't miss the different flowers, trees, and plants!
Thank you for a great weekend!
