We stayed at the hotel one night for our anniversary and it was just ok. We heard many good things about the place and by the time we left we were disappointed with the overall experience. The hotel is in a nice setting with a unique structure and that met our expectations. The food was ok, mediocre and not the food...

The Scots hotel is an excellent hotel. Don't let my title confuse you. Nice, big rooms, excellent spa, great breakfast and altogether, a very relaxed and friendly atmosphere in beautiful surroundings. However, when you book a room for 400US$ a night (and ours were not the most expensive rooms), at a place that consider itself unique, you (at least I)...

I wanted this weekend to be special. My partner and I have birthdays four days apart, and a friend had told me about weekend seminars on various subjects held at the Scots Hotel in Tiberias. I’d seen it but never stayed in it, because, to be honest it is not quite within my budget. But this was a special birthday...

I have been to Tiberias a few times in the past but while having noticed the Scots Hotel had never had a chance to stay here. On arrival the weather was unseasonable, it was raining, cold and windy. We were met with a hot toddy consiting of warmed cider with a generous helping of Grants Whiskey mixed in. That got...

What a beautiful hotel, the views of the Sea of Galilee are spectacular. At arrival they welcome you with hot apple cider and whiskey , can it get any better? Yes they upgraded our room to a room in the old buildings with a view of the lake. Facilities are beautiful and the breakfast buffet is great. If you are...

Spent a few days in the Doctors House. Lovely room and great oasis after long days traveling. Buffet breakfasts and dinners varied and good given buffets! Staff extremely kind and helpful. Gardens lovely, do take time to wander. Busy tourist destination/base. We were on our own with private guide and loved the peace after full days. Great service for the...

We were in Tiberias for a family vacation and weren't able to get into the Scots hotel. The hotel we stayed in was across the street and could help us with neither tours or taxis, which was incredibly frustrating. We went into the Scots and their staff helped us on 2 different occasions even knowing we weren't staying at the...

As always, the rooms in the old section are spacious and gorgeous. Bed is huge and comfy. Friday night dinner buffet extraordinarily tasty, rich, surprising. Breakfast buffet similarly rich, bread is warm, butter is quality.. Perfection. But the cleaning crew quality is unacceptable in a hotel of this quality. They knocked on our door at 9:30, requesting to clean it...

Stayed here in mid tour. Very nicely updated rooms. Unbelievably beautiful gardens. Pool across street. Pub food in bar. Excellent dinner and breakfast buffets with n=mid-east centered cuisine and a few Western touches (cold milk!). Only reason it didn't get a five is it seemed pricey.
