1884 house fabulously converted to B&B in Albany. Elegant rooms with exceptional bedding. Morning breakfast kitchen is completely stocked (no cheap sweet rolls). Facility WI FI is excellent & free. The staff is very helpful & always courteous. Don't pass up the Morgan State House if you find yourself in Albany NY.

My wife and I entertained this week in Albany. We took friends/customers out for dinner and stayed downtown so we wouldn't have to drive. Selected the Morgan State House since it is so highly recommended. No disappointment. Great bed and a kitchen open all night. We had a nice glass of orange juice and a piece of tort at midnight...

It's a perfect spot for business or leisure travel. We don't like staying in big impersonal hotel, this small sort of venue, suits us perfectly.

This was our first time staying at the Morgan properties. We elected to try the Washington Park location and were not disappointed. Beautiful decor, with a welcoming entryway was relaxing after a day of travel. The rooms were appointed nicely with local period furniture and artwork. Very comfortable bed and super large TV (for those interested). The breakfast the next...

I stayed at the Morgan on a Tuesday evening while traveling for work. It was such a wonderful change from staying at a chain hotel. It felt like coming home. An old victorian brown stone with many luxurious appointments. Upon entering the front door, I was greeted by my warm hostess and she was willing to accomodate any of my...

I agree with the other reviews that this bed and breakfast is "charming" and one of the better options if you have to stay in downtown Albany. With that said, we found the Morgan State House to be overpriced for what you get. We stayed in the main house on the 2nd Floor overlooking the park. The room itself was...

Absolutely delightful small hotel in two beautiful townhouses beside a little park in downtown Albany, New York. Exceptional staff, elegant design & architectural details, fabulously comfortable down beds & pillows. Decor and furnishings are old-fashioned and comfortable; public areas are in pristine condition, and the rooms are in good shape, with charming original touches. Very good restaurants within a block...

The old Morgan Statehouse is still the best place to stay in Albany if you are looking for something that combines luxury with character. It is a "boutique" experience - each room has it's own distinct character. I have stayed in all the rooms and would stay in any of them again. Be advised that you will be climbing some...

I have stayed at the Morgan State House twice - once about four years ago, and more recently, this November. Everyone that works at the State House is helpful, friendly and accommodating. It really does feel like you are staying at someone’s home. The rooms are just great and the beds are very comfortable, complete with lovely down bedding. The...

This house built in the 1800s is absolutely beautiful, charming and elegant. The character of the house is amazing with its original woodwork, stained-glass windows, etc. Where else can you have a library, raised bathtubs, 20ft. high ceilings with skylights right in your bedroom? Plus the staff was so friendly and accomodating. The continental breakfast is far from your typical...
