From a western standpoint more of a 3-4* experience. The location is impressive but if you're looking to dip your feet into the water, you'll have to travel quite a bit. The rooms are clean but have obviously seen better times. The hotel is mostly occupied by bus groups. The spa/pool are nice but expect plenty of extra costs. Generally I'd have given it more stars but unfortunately our umbrella has been stolen from the room and the staff has not been able to do more than tell us "we don't know". While I'm not upset about an umbrella, it makes me think they would've reacted similarly to an iPad or some other valuable item. That is definitely a no go.

Hotel's Favourite
Good hotel right at the ocean not too far from the airport. We were able to see the endless arrival of airplanes to the Jeju airport. The room was nice and lobby atrium impressive. We did not eat at the hotel and there were a few restaurants in the area. It was particularly nice to have an E-mart, a big grocery store just within five minutes to walk from the hotel. You can also walk to one of the only two Starbucks in the island (the only one in Jeju city). City center is a bit off: however, traditional touristy spots are within walking distance. They do provide free shuttle service from and to the airport a few times a day.

Very friendly hotel staff, especially concierge ladies Laura and our wonderful Julia! Julia helped us book taxis, finding some nice kids cafes and spots around Jeju. If you want some awesome views then definitely book the ocean view, it has a balcony. Some chairs and little table would have been great to soak up the beautiful view. The Mountain View is mostly city view so do t bother. The air condition isn’t on till a warmer season so you need to ask for a fan if your room is too hot. There isn’t much otherwise you can do if you want a quiet sleep without the outside noise. Rooms are spacious and double twin will be plenty if you have little kids. For more privacy, kids suits are awesome. The spacious bathroom isn’t the best design for privacy but you will find bathtub, shower and Korean bidet toilet in every room. Pool area is nice with kids pool and both pools have nice warm water. It isn’t managed the best. We borrowed a vest for my son, he literally had it on for 5 mins and they charged us 5,000 won. This should really be a free service from a hotel like this. They have four lanes and one is members lane. No idea who the members are. They squeezed us with other people and the lane was empty. You are wrong to think that Wyndham membership gets you the lane. I’m gold and wasn’t allowed in. You need a swim cap and swim goggles to use the pool. If you don’t have it, you can rent it out. The hotel lounge is nice and there’s a great all day lounge deal you can purchase and enjoy. The blue restaurant has a great buffet dinner, little expensive but worth it. Overall we had a great experience in this hotel. One negative point was that I suffered from very uncomfortable sore back. Couldn’t really sleep properly due to back pain. I heard that’s Korean beds. We spent a week in this hotel. I wish they had for foreign guest some sort of mattress topper.

Service was very kind and helpful, hotel itself is outdated, but had a retro charm to it that I enjoyed. Totally worth it to reserve an ocean view room. Includes a balcony. Absolutely beautiful to wake up to the view. Many people complained about hot rooms, but I found it to be fine. There really is no air conditioning in the winter / early spring, so it might be hot for some. You can control the heating from your room. The only two complaints I had were with the bed and the bathroom. The bed had a noticeable dip on the sides, so I had some nights with bad sleep. If you are light sleeper you might suffer the same. Also, the bathroom smelled a bit. In the shower there was a subtle sewage smell, and around the bathroom smelled faintly of urine. I wasn't sure if it was just bad cleaning, and I requested for no housekeeping during my stay, so I did try to clean the area around the toilet but couldn't get to the bottom of it. It was a bit unpleasant, but still overall enjoyed my stay.

First of all, I need to mention that the staff at this hotel went above and beyond in saving our vacation: We had issues where our original car rental reservation wasn't honored, and the staff at the Ramada Plaza spent 45 minutes of their time finding a company that would rent to us. We're forever grateful that the staff were so kind, friendly, and helpful -- and they made sure to check up on us later to make sure we were doing well after such a stressful start to vacation! We even got a nice reusable bag at the end of our stay. Now, onto the hotel itself! It feels a bit older, but I kind of loved it in a retro way, especially the lobby bar and fixtures. The room was also really nice. No sound came in from other rooms or from the street. The bed was amazingly comfy and provided me with a good night's sleep. The room/bathroom were both spacious and well-appointed. (One small note, though -- although soap, shampoo, body wash, toiletries, and complimentary water are provided, toothbrush/toothpaste are in the mini-bar and available only if you pay for them. But I'm very cool with that because it cuts down on plastic waste.) The hotel was a quick five-dollar cab ride from the airport -- the driver knew where it was, and navigation was no issue. All in all, if I find myself in Jeju City again, I will gladly stay at the Ramada Plaza.

Overall I liked the hotel and will probably stay there again. It's not the newest hotel but they keep it clean and nice so no complaints. I only thing that dinner option is a little bit overpriced. No matter if you do a buffet style or hamburger at the bar the price value wasn't good.

I stayed at the Ramada Plaza Jeju over the Christmas holidays and it was fairly comfortable. Although there are some good points, the biggest problems are the stuffy, hot rooms and the crowded parking lot. First, the good things. The hotel lobby and surroundings are impressive. The winter decorations were excellent. There was a charming winter market going on in the evenings. Check-in was problem-free, except that the underground parking lot was quite crowded (you'll probably want a car when visiting Jeju). It was kind of a pain finding a parking spot. Staff throughout the hotel was friendly. We used the concierge a couple of times and they were helpful. The room with the double beds was an acceptable size and seemed clean. There were no problems with housekeeping. The beds were comfortable. The free water bottles and small refrigerator were handy. The TV had some foreign channels, which I appreciated. Soundproofing was just average. The furniture was comfortable. Unfortunately, the room was extremely hot, which made it difficult to fall asleep. There is only central heating, and in the wintertime you (or the hotel) cannot turn on the air conditioning. After I complained, they sent up a rotating fan, which helped somewhat. However, the room was still quite uncomfortable. Opening the windows helped slightly, but then of course there was noise from the roads. This is a big problem that the hotel needs to fix! The bathroom was ok. The shower feels slightly cramped when it is closed, but there is also a bathtub. I think that there should be more space around the sink for your things, as there is not much room. The lotion and shampoo and others were good however. The breakfast buffet was pretty good. It had a nice mix of Korean and other cuisine. Although the menu mostly stayed the same everyday, most of it was pretty tasty. I enjoyed the coffee. The buffet dinner they offered was pricy but pretty good as well. The lamb was great, the sushi not bad. Decent dessert as well. The place gets pretty crowded so just be aware of that. Check-out on the last day was very easy. Overall, it was a good stay, but if it was wintertime, I would not come back here, as the rooms were very hot and stuffy, which prevented a good nights sleep.

It is a nice 5 star establishment with professionally trained staff. The rooms which we had were facing the city and on the 7th floor. Safety and also hotel amenities match to the stars they have. We love the fact they think of a traveller with charging ports for all devices and also rubber house slippers. The only drawback was the first night we came it was really warm and no ac due to the fact it was winter and they could only activate the heater, staff ran up at 2 plus with a table fan and we are very grateful for. Even a mosquito repellent is given for the rooms should you decide on opening the netting at the window for a more breezier feel. Nearby attractions such as the market, black pork street and also day tours can be arranged.
