Finally a hotel where i felt comfortable in, especially in winter. Check-in was fast, though i was confused why i had to fill up my particulars in a form when my reservation has them, and my passport too. Room was good. Had the sea view. Bathroom was good. Easy to use shower head and rain shower taps. Hot shower was awesome. Mini fridge was cold. Bed and pillows were very comfy. The heater worked great. Was warm all day in the harsh winter. I would have given 5-stars but they lack a few things. TV channel for international guests was bad. Too many local channels and home shopping. And there are no subtitles. Movie channel was bad too. There are paid to view channels i think. There is no self laundry facility. There is no fitness centre.
Stayed two nights with a family of 3 to explore northern and western parts of Jeju. Although the hotel looks small, it seems to have plenty of rooms with a swimming pool. Our first room had some problems, and the hotel changed a room for us rather quickly. Room was of good size and has a modern decor. Parking is available but could be tight. We had no parking problems since we returned early in the evenings but can see car park was very full when leave the hotels in the morning. As mentioned by many, it is walking distance to the Dongmun marker, black port and seafood streets. It has a great coastline for evening walks after dinner.
We stayed at the Hotel Regentmarine Jeju during a multi-city stop in South Korea. Check in: we arrived before the check in time, so we filled out all necessary paperwork and we were told we'd be notified when our room was ready. The person checking us in was a bit dismissive of us at the time and wasn't the most helpful when it came to help with finding a cafe. I'm not sure if it was due to a language barrier, but it was not a very warm welcome. We ended up finding a great cafe nearby where we hung out until almost check in time. Upon arrival, as there wasn't anyone else checking in, we decided to inquire if our room was ready. The staff member who was helping us, let us know that the room was ready and she was also a lot friendlier than the first person checking us in. Room: The room was very spacious and had two rooms. The view from the room was also quite great. The room was very clean. It was a very standard room by many means. The bathroom had toiletries and unfortunately for us, the heated toilet seat, did not work. Grounds: the hotel has a little restaurant and tuck shop located within it. On the website for the hotel we were not notified that the pool was out of order. It was one of the reasons we chose this hotel, but it didn't hinder our trip. Overall, we had a decent stay at the Hotel Regentmarine Jeju. I probably wouldn't recommend this hotel if you're going to spend a lot of time at it. If you're going to be touring around the island and exploring however, if you can get it for a great price, I'd recommend.…
The hotel has a great location, it is located right by the sea and the square, only about 5 minutes walk to Black Pork Street. There is a bus stop near the hotel, so it's very convenient to transfer, as the attractions on Jeju Island are very far and there are no subway. I booked a room with city views, but when I came here, the staff arranged for me a room with sea views. Great. Room facilities are good but the style is a bit monotonous.
Hotel Regent doesn’t strive to be anything more than it has to be, and that’s fine. The staff is nice enough, but don’t speak any english so if you’re looking for that (which is tough and seemingly not standard in Korea) this is not the place for you. Double rooms during the offseasons can only be booked on the 3rd and 4th floors, and this won’t be told to you until after your booking, so be aware of that as well. The room itself is clean, but bare. Our room had 2 beds but no bedside table in between them, which might be the first i’ve seen. Decorations wise, they don’t try, so the “vibe” doesn’t exist, the most color in the room is the orange chair awkwardly placed in the corner of the room in front of the one unreachable nightstand in the room that should probably be in the middle of the beds. Bed is comfy enough, AC works great and the location is stellar - by the beach and about a half a mile from the underground mall, and outdoor market. Breakfast was actually pretty good. If you know you’re going to go, buy your voucher ahead of time to save some won, we paid about $14 USD each. The buffet had bulgogi, rice, scrambled eggs, sausages, salad, cereal and much more. It was probably the best part of the hotel. Overall, I’d probably not recommend this place to people who are used to nicer hotels (you know, the ones who’ll take your luggage to your room for you? - this is not the one). As per a previous review I ended up leaving a resort early so this booking was last minute, I probably wouldn’t have stayed here had I had more options. …
The hotel is in a fantastic location - walking distance to Black Pork Street, Dongmun Market, and is right beside the waterfront which is bustling with activity in the evenings. Our room overlooked the waterfront and the hotel pool. There was a pool party over the weekend which we could clearly hear from our room but this stopped quite early (around 10pm) so it didn't bother us much. Go for the room with the sea view, it's worth it! Would definitely come back again.
The hotel staff are nice and helpful. The check in process is smooth and we even get the early check in in the early morning. The front desk team can speak fluent English.we have face some urgent issue in Jeju and the hotel staff are able to give us some advice regarding the flight schedule.
We got to the hotel via taxi from Jeju airport - 6,000krw. The hotel is not new but reasonably well maintained and the reception was friendly and English speaking. We booked an ocean view room which was lovely though the view was somewhat marred by the windows which haven’t been cleaned for a while and the reclamation work taking place on the seafront. The room itself was a comfortable size, clean and well maintained. Necessities were provided with the exception of disposable bedroom slippers. Am not keen on sharing slippers - a personal quirk. Has kettle, fridge and a couple of English channels on TV. Nearby, there’s a number of convenience stores, a large Martro supermarket, McD and a lovely bakery Antoinette. Across the road is the black pork street and a short walk away, the Dongmun market.…
Great location close to the shopping street, lots of food around and supermarket nearby too. Room was very clean and well maintained. It’s just next to the sea, nice for a morning stroll/jog along the pier.
