Hotel Kennystory Premium Jeju Yeondong was a decent choice for a night near the airport if a comfortable room is all you need. There is no coin washing machines and no fitness center (although there is a 24 hour laundry shop just outside) which was a bit of a bummer when staying during our last night of the bike trip with a bag full of soggy laundry. Not many sights nearby but a lot of bus routes stop nearby and proximity to the airport make it a convenient stay.

The location is perfect. A few minutes away from the airport. You can get here via bus or taxi. A lot of restaurants and stores within the vicinity. There's also a park located at the back of the hotel. The room was superb, clean and cozy.

I am lucky to have encountered someone who can speak English fluently - sad to say I wasn't able to get his name. The only thing that reminds me of him is he studied Oral English in Baguio City, the Philippines - my native country. Together with local female staff, because he is originally from Seoul. They've arranged me on a quiet level (Room 620) with an excellent Mountainview. I wasn't expecting a nice room to stay as I've only spent 500 Renminbi for my three (3) nights stay in the hotel, but I was impressed. It has a spacious bathroom, a smart-controlled room, a well-organized room, and comfy beddings. I am a fan of Korean food, and I truly missed their breakfast . . . It's not included in the room package, but it's worth a try for 6600 South Korean Won. The 711 shop is a big plus for someone like me who loves midnight snacks . . . It offers various items that are entirely different from what I'm used to buying in 711 in China. The elevators are average . . . I hope it can open and move a little bit faster - but this is very understandable for a budget rate I paid. The hotel is booming and getting famous for both local and foreign travelers, and I hope that somehow they'll employ someone who speaks the English language fluently. The two female front desk uses a translator to communicate; it annoys me somehow - much more at the time that I've requested hotel maintenance - It was a total miscommunication and misunderstand story. The check-out time would be 11:00 AM, if you extended for a while, prepare your 10,000 KRW /hour. Good thing I was able to build a good rapport, and another male front desk officer help me extend my stay for an extra 2-hours for free. It was a great stay and experience!

We are Wyndham Diamond member and the hotel has upgraded our room to Royal Suite room. We are truly appreciate for this upgrade. The front desk staffs (If i did not remember wrongly, Filonessa and Kassia Kang were assist us) are very kind during our check in time... Eventhru they may not speak English very well, but we can get what they mean. We would say it is better than our expectation for the communication part in South Korea... :) The room is spacious and with nice layout. The hotel car park is a bit far from the hotel but still acceptable walking distance. The hotel breakfast is not included in our package and we have paid KRW7000 for each adult and KRW5000 for each child. Generally the breakfast is very simple but with this price, nothing much to complain. It is still consider as in value. Coffee shop and convenience stores are available too... Just a very short walking distance after come out from the hotel.

Background: I am a light business and pleasure traveller, logging in at between 15 - 40 nights on business travel, 10-20 for pleasure travel per year. ‐-----‐---------------------------- I booked a Double Room (1 queen) for 2 nights in March 2019. Booking/price: 5/10. I have loyalty programs with other hotel chains, which did not have hotels on Jeju Island, so I opted to give Wyndham Reward a try. I tried to book directly to no avail (even attempted to call their reservation line, was informed that the US line cannot book Wyndham hotels in Korea). The hotel still showed availability on other portals (Amex, Chase, Citibank?), which was unusual. I finally decided to book via Chase portal (Expedia), knowing that the stay won't count but I was willing to try them out. The price came our roughly $50/night (which was "on sale" price), roughly on par with more modernized 3 to 4 star hotels in Jeju. Location: 7/10. About 10' from the Airport, and less than 30' walk to Jeju City Hall, duty free shopping and restaurant streets. There is a self parking about 2 blocks away. Room: 3/10. For this hotel priced at ~$50 in Jeju, I'd recommend forgoing at following this international hotel chain and booked at the non-international brands. I found the rooms were small, not on par with the 4- star they advertised. Furniture were old and dated. Carpet was moderately stained, and drawn on. Even molded? (See my photos) The AC unit dripped water on my luggage during my first night at 3am. No face towels were provided. Room isolation was poor. I heard people upstairs knocking and walking at 5am. Mattress were comfortable. Service: 3/10. The front desk receptionist checked me in without any problems. Her english was ok. There was a cleanliness concern (see below) when we checked into our room, called front desk who sent housekeeping, so all is good. It's hard to find a smile on their faces, though. Room service needs improving. Our body wash was not refilled on second night, and we had to use our owns. They left the trash in the room, with the empty water bottle I left on my nightstand the night before. They at least refilled the 2 water bottles, though. Cleanliness: 3/10. Bed sheet at check in still had some hair on, which we asked to be replaced. Towels were noticeably yellow. Walls are drawn on. Dust accumulated on some furniture. Amenities: 3/10. No fitness center or pool or business center (vs similarly priced hotel in Jeju). They have laundry facilities but I unfortunately did not want to try. There was a 50' TV had lot of Korean channels to choose from, which is great. Overall: 4/10. Would not recommend. Budget friendly, great location. Sub par cleanliness and room has shown aging.

Rooms clean and maintained. Small room, basic furniture, view of a neighboring concrete wall. Shower only, no bath in our room. Mini fridge. No bathroom supplies are provided, a bit of a letdown for a 4-star hotel. Hotel staff speaks English- plus. Breakfast left something to be desired, basic continental but costs 7,000 won. Good location to buses and only about a 10 minute ride to the Jeju bus terminal, which connects you to the rest of the island on direct routes.

I dont know if because of Winter or that is normal that we pay quite low price for 4 star standard Hotel.. for the standard room this is the only hotel in Korea I Have stayed that do not install Bidet at their bidet. However they have it for the deluxe room.. This is also the only hotel i stayed that do not provide tooth brush ( they sell it). Location wise is only 3km from Airport..and centrally located for North part of Jeju . U can walk to the jeju city downtown for shopping and foods. Room wise are nice..standard room are OK..the family suite room are Amazing.. with sofa and bathtub.

The hotel just located next the main shopping streets, 15 to 30 walks to big duty shop and two major large supermarket malls, room size was comfortable, parking was 5 minutes across the road to another building.
