Labeled as a resort, not exactly what I was expecting. Not truly a resort, no bar or bars, just 2 comasaries or small grocery stores. Only a dated kid swim play area. Where you are required to wear a shirt and hat to swim. Yes, I said hat, any will do, swim cap, baseball cap, or any other head covering. Rooms were large, clean, but severly dated with old chiped paint. The only real resort feature identified, was a was an attractively lighted courtyard out back. This is where you'll find the Texas Road House grill. Pretty good food and about 60 percent authentic barbecue. They do have Goose Island IPA on tsp which was a real bonus. Sadly, not allowed to take beers out.

On checkin, we were directed to the second building which resembled a prison block. The room was filthy, covered in insect droppings and well...very basic and not appropriate for families. Upon raising the riot act at reception, the very nice girl upgraded us to the first building which was perfectly adequate and comfortable. Further, the adjacent water park was great, albeit expensive.

The restaurant provided an eclectic blend of Western and Korean breakfast buffet, with a lunch/dinner menu solely in Korean. This place is really not designed to cater for Western tourists.

Regrettably, this resort also serves as the bus depot for all tourist buses in the area so expect buses to come thundering in and out at all hours.

Further, the Sumo wrestlers / North Korean army did manoeuvres all night long in the floor above, so sleep was at a premium.

After a 15 minute walk down to the lake, which is beautiful and serene, you realise that you should have paid the extra to stay lakeside.

Our checkout process caused further stress when they tried to rip us off compared to our booking.

The rooms in this gigantic property are large! They are also very old, but our room was clean and adequate for a night's sleep. A balcony overlooking the faraway lights of the city was nice. It's a pity it wasn't closer to the said city - it's in the middle of nowhere, and was crammed with busloads of school groups who noisily entered and ran around the grounds. Free wifi is available, but only in the foyer of the building. There is a large swimming pool (empty at the time of year we were there) and a great looking kids' pool area. Dining was within the complex or at adjoining properties - a few takeaway places and a couple of restaurants. We got a terrific pizza from across the road. There are no bath towels provided - drying a large body with two hand towels is a bit of an experience! Lol. Pretty basic place to stay, with no amusements, no night life and nowhere to go, but was fine for a one night stay. Not top notch, but not disgusting. Breakfast was good in the adjoining building. Cute little coffee/cake shop there, and also a well stocked convenience store. Not a tourist mecca, but brilliant for schools on excursions!

Our First impressions were good, nice spacious rooms however it all went downhill after that. During the first night the toilet blocked, due to a language barrier, this was quite hard to get fixed when we rang reception to advise.
The room was then not cleaned for the remainder of our three day stay!
We booked this hotel specially for the Spa/Swimming pool facilities so were not happy after paying an exhorbitant amount to stay, were told we had to pay extra to use the swimming pool - 28,000Won or 19Euro which is quite expensive in itself. Nowhere on their website was this advised when we booked and when we queried staff about this they were blatently rude to us to the point of ignoring us.
I have never left a hotel so frustrated and unhappy with the service and attitude of the staff.

Totally worst. No air-conditioned, no toiletries provided just provide 5 hand towels. Cleanliness worst which super dusty and with spider web. Feel scary. Not all the room had wifi connection. The building was old.

We stayed in this hotel for 1 night only with a package tour. Our room is huge with kitchen area, fridge and a comfortable living room. Shower & toilet are separate so it is kind of convenient for a small family to stay.
The room was clean ; and the buffet breakfast next morning was pretty good with a variety of food -- especially nice for the cool weather in November.

This place is an out of the way condominium. There were only hand towels in the bathroom and no toiletries , tea , coffee or water. Rooms were good size with 2 bedrooms and a lounge but air conditioning didn't work and were in need of some TLC. Reception quite unhelpful, pool being renovated and no dining oportunities

Stayed only one night in a beautiful 2 bedroom suite with Hubby and our friend. It was a kitchenette unit with a living area and private bath.

The view was beautiful. It was a bit far from the action for us. We had to take buses and taxis into the main historic sites. But the resort itself had an outdoor swimming pool and convenience store. It was geared towards families really.

Another hard bed, but it was manageable.

This property was included in or Nexus holiday. We were on the top floor and the view was pretty good. A very old condo - two bedrooms lounge/kitchen and bathroom. There was no microwave so you could not zap a TV dinner that you could purchase at the onsite convenience store. Previous guests have smoked in the room as the odor still lingered. The air con in the bedroom was very efficient however, the main one in the lounge was very ineffective.

Dinner options very very limited - a pub buffet, BBQ chicken shop along the lines of KFC and a Korean BBQ restruarant. Five hand towels were provided to dry yourself with after a shower. Also, no toiletries were provided. Breakfast was adequate.

We stayed here for one night while on a Nexus Holiday tour of South Korea. There is two buildings and we obviously got the older one. A two bedroom apartment with a double bed in one room and a mattress on the floor in the second bedroom. No glasses to drink out of. No toiletries and the towels that were supplied were the size of a hand towel. There is a convenience store on site. Dinner options are limited. This hotel is out of town so you are unable to look around the township so there is nothing to do at night.
If I was travelling independently I would choose to stay at a more centrally located hotel.
