Bomun Lake area is a few miles away from all of the sights but a pleasant area to stay in. The area lacks dining options but Gyeongju is not known for good restaurants anyway. Room was clean and comfortable but some rooms don't have much o view. Since we were out sightseeing for most of the day this hotel was adequate. If looking for a spot to relax in, there are better options in the area.

Flash hotel but like Hotel Prince in Seoul Subway for breakfast due to CO-VID 19 Subway for breakfast which I did not like. There was no internet either, but the bed was comfy enough. This hotel is in Gyeongju

My room was very clean and comfortable. Nice and roomy.

Had breakfast at the hotel and that was nice with a good range of food. Hot and cold

The only odd thing was if you wanted to turn the aircon on you had to go to reception to get the controller.

Would be happy to stay here again

We really enjoyed this hotel. Super friendly and helpful staff, clean rooms that are very comfy and a Good location as well. Excellent value away from the hustle and bustle. Enjoyed a great walk from the hotel around the lake and good mountain views. The forsythia were starting to bloom right outside my window which was a treat!

After checking out several love motels near the bus station we opted to try the SwissRosen despite it being outside the city in the resort area. We were pleasantly surprised. The price was right, the room was very clean and spacious. It was little dated and funky but it felt safe and comfortable and the staff were very nice and helpful. It was also very easy to get into town as there were frequent buses (#11 into town, #10 back) from a bus stop 5 mins walk away. Also there were frequent buses to Bulguksa temple. I'd have no hestitation recommending this hotel as a great mid-range option in the Gyeongju area.

I stayed two nights at the Swiss Rosen Hotel, a fine accommodation. My room on the 5th floor had a double and a single bed, both of which were very comfortable and had clean sheets and quilts. The room also had a flatscreen TV with multiple channels, a mini-fridge, and a pot for boiling water.

The bathroom had a shower (but not bathtub). What I found very strange was that the sink water drained directly onto the floor which, naturally, always flooded when I turned on the tap. The water would then run all over the floor and down a drain directly under the sink. Why they didn’t connect the sink water drain with a pipe into the drain, I’ll never know. I think the management wanted to save money, a typical scam in South Korea.

There was an outdoor swimming pool, but there was no water in it. I think the management wanted to save money, a typical scam in South Korea.

Breakfast was included in my room price and the meal was fine.

Thank you very much for your staying with us and sharing your kind review. We've checked your comment with the facility maintenance manager. Our drain was connected with the sink by the pipe. The manager told us that it can be flooded over if the drain in the sink is clogged. So, we've requested the manager to check the drain more frequently. Outdoor Swimming Pool is operated only on the summer season because the Korean weather is too cold for swimming on the other seasons. We sincerely deliver our sorry for your uncomfortableness and appreciate again for your helpful comment. Warm Regards, Min, Wonkyung Marketing Director

Although we were on business I found this hotel to be a nice relaxing place to unwind after a day at work. Its a bit older place but still OK overall. A few of the oddities of older hotels is noted during my stay.....

Stayed 1 night using Chase Sapphire Ultimate Rewards points. It was raining when we arrived and therefore, did not venture out except to get dinner. Since did not take beef, did not try the nearest restaurant nearby the hotel and had to walk at least 30 min to a fast food place and then got lost while coming back. Breakfast had to ore-order upon check in, quite reasonable, USD8 pp although not much variety, no need to wander out to look for places to eat breakfast and after got lost yesterday night and the long walk with not many eateries withing walking distance, recommend that just ate breakfast at the hotel unless you have a car.
Seems like a boutique hotel, nice, quiet and clean place to stay. Happy with the room assigned and no problem except no nearby eateries.

I came to the hotel for a break from my routine. When I walked in I was greeted with warmth. The room was the perfect size for 1 person, the covers/bed was comfy, and I had a great view of the skyline from the balcony.

More importantly Starbucks was only a few meters away :)

Hotel is great for business trips (avoiding the price of Hilton) or brief trips close to the sights of Bomun.
