I stayed in the K Hotel for 3 days and found it comfortable and clean. The biggest challenge, however was the ONE electrical outlet available in the room. If you wanted to charge 2 items, you had to unplug the floor lamp. I found it astonishing that a large and modern hotel would be clueless as to most travelers needs. The breakfast was quite good, with non-Asian options including freshly fried eggs.

The hotel quality was okay. I had the most expensive cappuccino of my life in the coffee shop. The wifi was horrendous. I had a Skype conference late at night but had to go to the lobby and sit next to the router. I commented on this to the staff, but they seemed to disagree about the wifi quality. Not much to do near the hotel. A Starbucks is within walking distance. It is very convenient to the convention center where you can get a more reasonably priced cappuccino. Would recommend the place if wifi is not important to you.

I feel privileged to give the first review!!

This hotel was re-titled as the K Hotel, where I stayed for two nights to attend a conference near-by. Room was spacious, clean, and well maintained. I asked for a mountain view (supposedly less favored than a lake view) and I was charged less than $60 a night, which I believe is a good deal in the neighborhood.
On the negative side, don't expect luxury, especially in the lobby area. There is one convenience store in the basement and one or two stores a block away. Carpet was a bit smelly, but guess it is okay.

On my recent trip to S. Korea, this was my favorite hotel. While it is located outside the city of Gyeongju, there are many places to shop and eat within a short distance of the hotel. There is even a convenience store in the basement. My room was rather large as asian rooms go. It had a beautiful view of the surrounding grounds and structures. The bathroom was definitely western in design and size. Nice large shower cubicle. Of course, there was the wonderful Korean toilet which does everything but flush itself. Breakfast buffet was very good with a lot of space to eat without crowding out your neighbors. The food was very good. The front desk staff was very helpful.

This hotel is Too expensive, the service is not good, not foreigners friendly, not internet in the room. Do not come there. There are better options near to main places. They don't take care for their guests.

I stayed on the night of the 4th in room 738 and would classify the hotel as at best a 3 star. I asked my wife to call me, she thought she got through to the switch board, but no one spoke English. Not to worry, I would phone her from the room, dialled zero for operator, no reply. Went to reception desk told I had made a mistake and it was 200, great, only to be told that I could not make international calls from the hotel. The card by the phone in the room clearly shower zero.
As you cannot get wifi in the room had to go to lobby, which I did.
At this point I thought I would go to the bar, except there is no bar, just a draft beer pump where the till is, no lounge but tables in the restaurant you can use. You can order a bottle of wine but no spirits etc. So had a small bottle of cider.
Food, well we ordered a spaghetti Bolognese, we got what they call a bolognese.
The room was ok, cigarette burns on desk, bathroom with a flexible shower head, reasonably clean.
Was going to use swimming pool but charge put me off.
No, I do not speak Korean but my colleague is Korean so no problem with communicating with staff.
As the hotel is owned by the Teachers Union I can understand that as they have both teachers and children visiting the hotel they do not have to try and attract foreign visitors which is a pity as the regain has a great deal to offer them.
Would I use the hotel again, the simple answer is no.

If you are looking for a standard, business hotel where staff speak good English, then this place is not for you. Yes, it is reasonably comfortable (would not rate over three and a half stars and I also had problems with heating/aircon in room), in a picturesque position and has a number of on-site facilities but it is clearly not geared for international travellers. I stayed here to attend a conference and ate mostly in-house. The buffet breakfast was very nice, as is the dinner buffet (which I would recommend if you want to try local delicacies) but it was very hard to communicate with staff.
When next in Seoul, I'll probably choose an international chain.

Toilet was stopped up and I asked for repair.
A man came up to my room and finished his work, but dirty water splashed from the toilet down onto the toilet floor, but he didn't care about it and just left. I had to do the cleaning. Do you think it is a HOTEL with proper attitude towards its customers?

Good things?
Price was OK.
The female room cleaning staff were kind.
Good sauna facility.
Spacious parking lot.

The room was nice, but despite the hotel looking fancy we found it fell short. The WiFi didn't work at all in our room. The pool was expensive to use. Beds were not very comfy. There is a modern building that might be better.

Check in took about 20 minutes, which was good compared to our last hotels check-in, which took an hour. Our rooms were a good size, and it was very clean. Service was good, they gave us amazing recommendations on where to spend our days. We never ate at the hotel, so we can not leave a comment there. However, our A/C was broken, and our room was very hot, which was a moderate discomfort. The rest was good about the hotel, accept the price was higher then it should be for 5 nights. I would recommend this hotel, but would not go back.
