I had a fantastic lunch here yesterday. The restaurant is inviting from the street , and i opted to sit outside. Service was excellent but the food was amazing. I chose the lobster curry from the board and at 1600 rupees ( £ 8 ) seemed great value as i had seen many more advertised at up to 4 times...

When we arrived there was no record of our booking but the team were really helpful in helping us find a room last minute. We loved the style of the rooms and had so much space. Bathroom did make some strange noises in the night!

It's kind of hard to find a hostel in Sri Lanka which is still in the backpacker range when it comes to price. The staff is relaxed and will help you as much as they can. Beds where good and the balcony is a nice extra. Location is well centered and if you're lucky you can join the staff for...

Great food, great atmosphere The decor is very appropriate and homely The food was fresh and tasty and didn't take too long to arrive The price was a bit above average for food but the drinks (specially the juices) were exorbitant.

Popped in here for drinks. Could have died of thirst waiting. Waited over 15 mins for a coke and a soda. Had to go up and ask where they were. Waiters did not seem bothered. Decor inside was fairly unique but would not go again. Will not be returning.

Great choice, we had the curd, fruit, muesli and pancakes. Nice coffee as well. Good internal space and nice courtyard for lounging. If you are in the fort, this is a great pitstop and shelter from the sun to regroup. Also handy that you could pay by credit card.

There was no air con in our room but there was a fan which was better than nothing (also had mosquito nets!) The layout of the upstairs rooms was weird as you had to walk through one bedroom to get to ours but that really wasn't too much of an issue. We had a balcony with seating area and clotheshorse...

The rooms are amazing! In our room we had four best separated by white wood panels with mosquito nets. We also had out very own terrace were you could lay and watch the sea and people walk past on the fort, this hostel is a beautiful place. It's located in the best place and the people who work here are...

Great little hostel in the heart of the old town within the fort walls. As well as dorms the hostel has two private double rooms on the top floor. We stayed in these two double rooms which are both lovely and have great a/c, very comfortable beds, good showers and balcony/outdoor sitting areas. The Pedlars inn has a very relaxed...

Comfy hostel with two private double rooms. We staid in the double room with private veranda. It was so hot we could not sit for a long time on the veranda though... Clean room with shabby chic furniture. Maybe a little overpriced (as every tourist place in Sri Lanka...). Very nice owner/receptionist. Because the A/C did not work properly, he...
