We (my wife and two children) recently stayed for two nights at the beginning and one night at the end of a two week trip to Sri Lanka. For the first stay we had an apartment which had two bedrooms, two bathrooms and a large lounge / kitchen area. For the second stay we had two separate rooms (next to...

Conviniently close to the airport, this place is a good starting point after a long flight. There is a nice courtyard with a pool formed by the main building and the restaurant. Our room was very big and clean.

It's an amazing property with large rooms and a great pool area. I also found the bed to be very comfortable and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The beach is also very close to the property - 5min walk. Would definitely recommend this.

At the upper end of mid range accom in Sri Lanka, I would recommend this place to debrief before you leave. Straight forward, neat and tidy sums it up and the pool is awesome. Staff unobtrusive but available and an easy going feel that makes the journey home seem less daunting. We paid for late checkout at 7pm with no...

Just stayed one night before flying home but thought it was a pretty nice place. Pool area is lovely though the sunbeds are concrete and not very comfortable. Cafe was nice for a lunchtime beer and panini. Room was good though again had built in concrete beds which I've not seen before. Seemed fairly comfortable though we didn't sleep well...

We spent two nights at the start and end of our trip at Villa Araliya. It has a rustic charm, good service and good location close to stores and the beach. There was a problem with the air conditioning on our second night but the staff was helpful and moved us to another room. We tried the vegetarian dinner, which...

An excellent little hotel with a good breakfast and helpful staff. Nice swimming pool and easy to get a get a tuk tuk ride into Negombo to look around and change money etc. Would recommend it as a good starting point for a Sri Lanka trip

We have stayed here twice and it's handy for arriving from a long flight. We requested, during booking, for a pick up from airport. This was organised which was a nice surprise. Also used the same driver to take us to our next stop, galle. Love to share with the various rescue dogs and cats, and a turtle. The place is...

I stayed in Villa Araliya for 2 nights. The place was clean and quite nice setting. However, my room was a bit dark and there were no view/ decent balcony. I saw mainly families with kids in this hotel. The staff seemed friendly, but it was always a hassle, so it left me with unprofessional feeling. One of the guys...

Very helpful and welcoming staff. Our room was comfortable and clean and didn't have a telephone or TV so an ideal way to divorce ourselves from the rest of the world for two days. The first night we didn't have dinner as we wanted to get to bed but the second night we had a delicious vegetarian meal whilst sitting...
