Jetwing Ayurvedic Pavilions is health-heaven on earth! It is a beautiful down-to-earth hotel with beautiful, well tasting and inspirational food made according to your Dosha. Furthermore a super friendly staff in general and very professional and competent doctors and therapists and a top class and super nice yoga master. This was my second visit to Ayurvedic Pavilions, but will for sure not be the last. I highly recommend this place whether you are stressed, are sick in other ways or just need to relax. Being there is like being re-set!😄🧘🏻♂️🙏🏻
I was in Jetwing Ayurveda Pavilions for one week in 1st week of December 2022. It was a rejuvenating experience for the body and the mind. At the end of the stay, my body was restored and ready for another long stretch. Dr. Anurada Banadara in Jetwing Pavilion is an extremely competent doctor, her Ayurveda treatments started with an internal purification process, followed by a customized diet, herbal remedies, massage and other Ayurvedic therapy helped to restore inner harmony and balance of my body. She always made sure I understood the basis and benefits of all the treatments I was receiving. Romain, my therapist is a gift from God, her healing hands, care and genuine kindness even elevated the reinforcing process. The front office manager Nimanke and Nirmal went above and beyond to make sure my stay is comfortable and made me feel I am among friends. The chef, his staff, and rest of the crew in the resort genuinely cared for my comfort and wellbeing. General Manager Mr. Ekanayake, the visionary of this heavenly place made all these possible. He personally attends to the guests to make sure their stay is exceptional. I highly recommend this charming place for anyone who is looking for tranquility and to rejuvenate body and mind using authentic ancient Ayurveda practices. …
On a very lasy minute decision I decided to book myself on a solo-trip for the following six nights into the Jetwing Ayurveda Pavilions Hotel in Negombo. Reasons for my choice: - proximity to airport (20min) - Jetwing is a reputed brand - cosy style of the hotel - previous reviews I arrived by 2.30am from the airport, was welcomed by doing a ritual with a candle upon check-in and then was escorted to my room. The day always starts with yoga at 6.30am (of course only if you want to) followed by breakfast. All f&b's are according to your "Dosha", your body type as per ayurveda definition. Every guest of the hotel will have their daily 10-15min consultation with the Ayurveda doctor followed by a 2 1/4hrs treatment. Usually the morning is gone then and you have like 1-3hours "resting time" afterwards, depending on your treatment. The food is just AWESOME! It's all vegan/vegetarian, full of flavours and so beautifully arranged that you feel like in a Michelin star outlet rather than sitting in a hotel restaurant in Sri Lanka. You will be in an open-air restaurant overlooking the pool (for summer one part is also ac'd, but in December of course I did not use it) Staff was all phenomenal! They sang more than 30min Christmas Songs for us during the Christmas dinner. Such gems. Rooms were up to Asian standard, loved the mosquito net and also their house keeping does not only clean your room int he morning but has a turn down service towards evening time. I am a big fan of it, it just feels so well looked after. You will also receive fresh water twice a day - enough of water. Treatments by the therapist were really good. I relaxed a lot which was the main reason I came to the hotel as I am about to start a new job and wanted to wind down as much as possible before heading to new responsibilities. In addition to the above, there was one "Ayurveda Awareness Session" and one Cooking Demonstration during my time at the hotel. Some other guests also had a Music Therapy session as they booked with a travel agent, however, I was not invited for this as I have just booked everything on my own online. Apparently I haven't missed much though. To my surprise in the first couple of days we were only 5 guests in total (over Christmas) in a hotel that has like 36 rooms/villas I believe. Probably Ayurveda is not a thing people (women) do over the Festive season. There were another 4-5 guests a few days later though. Guests were mainly females, mainly from Europe and very few Asians. You should be aware that the hotel is not directly at the beach but a street side hotel which might be a little bit loud but for me it was absolutely ok. Even though they don't have their own beach, as a sister property of Jetwing Blue and Jetwing Beach you can use their beach (and receive sun bed, towels,..). Both hotels are just a few hundred meters walk away. I will definitely come back to the hotel if I want a quick relaxing get away without spending time on long transfers. …
In the hotel, I was always healed by the great view with a swimming pool surrounded by villas and nature. I always loved to dine at the open-air restaurant besides the pool looking the view, candles and hearing healing music. Every meal (all vegetarian) was well-arranged for each body type and served in beautiful looking (like French dishes). They were all so delicious and I felt myself being very healthy and happy. The doctor's consultations and treatments by the therapist were of high-quality. The doctor always explained clearly my condition and was very clear on my questions. The therapist was well-experienced and had great techniques of treatment including massage and Shirodhara, and had good communication. Every hotel staff member had a great hospitality and every time addressed guest's request quickly. The every morning yoga session was very nice and done by very professional teacher. It was always great time for me to start a good day. The hotel served some fun activities e.g. cooking demonstration (it was great to know how to cook the ayurvedic meals), pool exercise, music therapy, etc. There was a beach good to see a beautiful sunset within walking distance of just 5 mins from the hotel. Some comments for future improvement: Due to great nature ambience, I, a person tends to be bitten by mosquitos, was always disturbed by mosquitos (and also flies). Appreciate if more measures were taken (mosquito coils also for pool side, rooms, etc. not only at the restaurant). The room I stayed on the first night, located the side near the neighbor bar (club?) was so noisy on weekend until late night. However it was helpful the hotel kindly changed my room quickly, the hotel should take in account. Sometime I felt the treatment time started too soon after having breakfast and getting full. The bath tab should be more clean. (Bath tab was one of the reasons I chose the room type (Queen villa) but I did not use in the end.…
Beautiful place, with excellent service, delicious (and healthy!) food, and a great way to experience Ayurvedic treatments - and the ocean is just the other side of the road (you can also visit for free the other Jetwing-owned hotel, Blu, more of a resort on the beach, nearby). Tasteful-decorated rooms and very comfortable bed.The yoga teacher (every morning at 6:30) is truly an excellent hatha yoga teacher (I am sorry I don't know his name). The Ayurvedic treatments (2 in 2 days) were exceptional, with two doctors on the site, and I would like to thank Anitha, who took such great care of my very tired body and is an incredible masseuse, both professional and caring. Many thanks, Jetwing Ayurveda Pavilions.
Another great stay at Jetwing Ayurveda - this is the third time we're visiting the hotel this year, for a series of wellness-oriented ayurveda treatments. Each time, we find the service to be excellent - both the Ayurveda treatments and the general service at the hotel. That's not an easy achievement for sure, in these tough times. Special mention to the ayurveda treatment team - from Dr. Anuradha Bandara, Dr Gayathri and of course our therapists Anitha and Ruwan who ensure the maximum benefits from each day's treatments. Anitha and Ruwan communicate well in English, and it has been a pleasure to chat with them about the various herbs and oils they use in our treatments. Their knowledge of the medicine they practice as therapists is so deep, it's great to see how well they've been integrated into the Ayurveda systems by the doctors. Good job, team!…
