Villa Kapuru holds all you seek in affordable hotels; Good and clean rooms - even with a great view over the river, friendly and helpful staff, delicious (and BIG) breakfast and a nice pool. And also close to the beach! Oh, and the owners rescue cats and dogs and take really good care of them! All in all - amazing stay The hotel is clean, and the animals are not there when food is served. The staff are very professional and good with having a chat and let you do your own thing when needed. They are will not hesitate to help you in any way possible. I highly recommend eating at their restaurant “Centella Bistro” located on the beach road. Just read their reviews and thank me later. These guys spends a lot of time and money to rescue animals. Not for the tourist to come - but out of the goodness of their hearts. And therefore, you should really consider to book your stay with them. I would highly recommend staying at Villa Kapuru…

We can highly recommend this place - we had such a wonderful stay at Villa Kapuru. The owners are very friendly and helpful. They have some rescue cats and dogs, they are so friendly and calm - our 4-year old absolutely loved it. The owners really care and love animals! It’s in walking distance to the main area and beach. Good clean rooms. (Big) Good breakfast. They also have a restaurant Centella Bistro - which is worth a visit. Really good food!!!!

Beautiful and peaceful getaway in Legombo. We stayed here for two nights upon arrival. The owners are very friendly and helpful, giving lots of tips and background information. One of the owners is Irish, the other from Sri Lanka (fluent English). They also take care of abandoned dogs and cats (add to the charm and no nuisance at all). It’s a lovely peaceful place to stay. Very clean, yummy breakfast and nice pool too. Walking distance from beach and shops.

There's only a few people here due to the gas shortage. My wife and I went to the day spa and hung out by the pool here for the last 2 days. The owner is very nice and arranged cars for us. It's really nice here.

This is a fab place to stay if like me you are on a tight budget. It's situated off the main road and is about 10 mins walk to the beach and restaurants. Most people transit through only staying a couple of nights due to the close proximity of the airport. I stayed 14 nights and it was a great base. The room was spacious with a balcony overlooking the pool. Breakfast was enough to keep you going all day. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. Would definitely stay here again. I hope the situation in Sri Lanka gets resolved quickly so that these hotels can fully get back to normal welcoming visitors back to their beautiful country.

Superb hosts, comfy room, great price, friendly furry friends and an absolutely huge (and tasty) breakfast. There’s not much more to say than that, stay here and you won’t be disappointed - make sure you get a stroke off Lucky the dog before you leave!

We booked our first and our last night at Villa Kapuru. After 4 weeks of cycling around the island it felt like coming back home. What a great place, lovely owners, the friendly cats and dogs, the great pool, the breakfast, the room...everything was super. The best of it all was that we could leave our bicycle boxes here for the full 4 weeks in order to re-use them for our flight home. Great service, also in assisting us with the airport transfers. The owners are just the most adorable. I was a solo female traveller and they looked after me like parents. So sweet. Small but clean rooms. Loved the art decor. Bright and cheery. Cosy. Small swimming pool. Loved the pets too. Nice set breakfast, freshly cooked and served to you. Really short and simple straight walk to the beach, restaurants and bars. I went on a boat cruise one evening and the owners checked to see that the company was legitimate. On two separate evenings, they reserved me lovely tables at restaurants and made sure I had good service. They got up early when I left to help with my luggage and to see me off. Support small businesses. Absolutely lovely.

Just a short walk from all nightlife and beach this little hotel is spot on. Cosy and clean rooms, good shower with plenty of hot water, we had a nice little balcony overlooking the canal which allowed us to watch the beautiful birds. The owners couldn’t have been nicer or more helpful. The pool area is a nice place to relax in the shade when the beach is too hot! Don’t choose if you don’t like dogs or cats (we love animals so not a problem for us). Good breakfast too, a really good value hotel.
