We stayed 2 nights in Taroko Lodge and thoroughly recommend this experience. The Lodge is comfortable and Rihang and his family really welcomed us into their home. We biked and hiked and also hiked the Zhuilu trail. Both incredible experiences. We were picked up from Xincheng train station and dropped back there at the end of our trip. Breakfast was...

We turned up at Taroko Lodge, after reading that they offered cycling tour of Taroko Gorge (without prior arrangements). When we arrived, Mr Su. was super accommodating and happy to help despite our lack of planning. He was happy to show us all the best spots of the Taroko Gorge on the drive up in the morning, giving us the...

Mr. Su, his wife and his son Jin are absolutely lovely hosts. It is a small family run business and they make sure to take care of everything for you from A to Z - airport pickup, meals, everything. I highly recommend his biking tour down the taroko gorge. Mr. Su drops you off at the top and you bike...

I went there on my own to do some hiking in the mountains. Taroko Gorge is gorgeous. Just as the name suggests. The owner Ringhan was making my stay so very pleasant. I cannot thank him too much. I did the bike tour where he took us up the gorge, cycled down with small trail interruptions and picked me up...

Only spent 24 hours in the Taroko area and I was their only guest! Go on a weekday. Mr. Rihang and his son were excellent hosts. They processed my trekking permit so it was easy. Personalised service, pick up and drop off wherever I wanted to go. Gave me advice for best options to get back to Taipei too. Lodge...

The Taroko Lodge is one of the truly special places that my wife and I have visited in all our travels. Rihang runs an efficient, pleasant and peaceful lodge. We spent 4 nights in the lodge. The bed was super comfortable and the bathroom simple. Rihang made us a fried egg every morning with plenty of fruit. The other guests...

This is the perfect place to stay if you are planning a trip to Taroko Gorge. We stayed two nights in a beautiful, spacious private room. If the forecast hadn't called for rain, we would have liked to book a campsite on the grounds. I am glad we stayed in a room, instead, as the bed was SO COMFORTABLE that...

My husband &I I just returned from our 10 day Taiwan travels and both agreed that our stay at Taroko Lodge, run by Rihang and Mani Su, was our best "local" experience on the trip. Rihang's good humor, efficiency, guidance and support made cycling the spectacular Gorge and travelling up the gorge via stunning snowcapped mountain scenery to descend to...

I didn't stay at the Lodge but I booked a cycling tour via Taroko Lodge. Rihang is a great host, great tour organisor. He drove me up the gorge to the hot springs and then I cruised down on a bike approximately 25 km, all the way down to the Pacific Ocean. Superb scenery and great hiking options. Must-do if...
