This place was within a ten minute walk to the train station. The facilities were clean and cozy, which was more than adequate for my stay. I REALLY appreciated the staff--they made the stay here so worth it. They took the time to explain where and how to get to everything, were extremely friendly, and wonderful to talk to. They...

Nice stay in a great location near the bus/train station (5/10 mins walk?). The staff was very accommodating and gave me good food recommendations for the night market (15/20 mins away). They also helped guide me on which trails to take for Toroko Gorge and how to use the bus as I was traveling solo. Not incredibly conducive to meeting...

Stopped here while on a backpacking trip visiting Taroko National Park and very glad I did. The staff is excellent. The young gentleman who owns the hostel was very helpful in providing great advice about where to find restaurants in Hualien and provided some great insights on areas to cover while at Taroko. The hostel itself was very clean and...

Me and a friend stayed here for 3 nights. The hostel is clean and open with a communal kitchen and living area. Each bed has its own light and plug and privacy curtain. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and made us feel very welcome. Close walk to the train station and night markets

I stayed for two nights in a private room at the Sleeping Boot Hostel in Hualien Taiwan. My son and I wanted to see Taroko Gorge and Chihsingtan Beach. This hostel is run by the nicest, kindest, informative young people I have ever met. I am not a typical hostel visitor. This was only my second visit to a hostel...

One of the best hostel experiences i've ever had. 10/10. The living arrangements were excellent and the people working there were more than helpful. Would stay there again in an instant. Also, Taroko gorge and the beach are breathtaking.
